Chinese engineers have built amazing infrastructure across China with their expertise, but what baffles me is the crummies they often construct for us in Nigeria, you won't see such in their homeland.

Who do we blame here? Maybe our leaders because it's the amount of money they award some of these projects and they will still embezzle part of it.

I agree with you

I way back when Julius Berger, a german construction company used to build all our roads and bridges. They did an excellent job. But now, our leaders bring in these chinese to come and do our construction and you see the result. If I were president of Nigeria, I will not give one single contract to the chinese. They can't be trusted.

we produce thousands of engineers from our higher institutions every year, why is it that our leaders don't trust them to handle such projects

So you think bridge is meant for decoration. Mention one state in Nigeria that needs this kind of bridge apart from Lagos.

I was reading Yoruba History and saw that in the days of Oranmiyan in the 12 th Century Yoruba Armies were actually building makeshift bridges to Cross over large Rivers like River Osun

Where did all that Bold impressive Innovative ability disappear to ?!
