I know this isn't the right section. But I don't know the right one and so I opted to post here since it seems to have a lot of traffic.

Yesterday, I returned to my room to find a rat dead in the middle of it. Ordinarily, I wouldn't be bothered. But this rat has clearly been bitten (pictures will be displayed below). I called a neighbour and we examined it. We were arguing if a snake could have done it, and if yes, why it didn't swallow it. In any case, we decided to leave it where it was to see if whatever killed it would return for it. I went to sleep at a friend's.

We returned this morning to find the dead rat gone. So, I called others to me and we ransacked every nook and cranny of the room. We couldn't find anything threatening. But we did find another rat killed in much the same manner as the first (second picture).

It irks that I can't find what did this. I can't sleep in the room as it is. So please, experts in the house, help me to identify what it could be and what can be done.

You need to be very careful man.
Snakes can live with humans in their house for months without you knowing.

Buy snake repellents and spray garlic and onions in your room. It will flush them out real quick.

Where's Lalasticlala when you need him??

From my analysis, you may either be breeding a snake or other dangerous predators in your crib. Staying on the 1st floor in a congested building has always been a no no for me. A lot of animals starts by attacking it.

So, find a way to thoroughly fumigate your crib. Or call snake hunters to come and do justice. Ask Lalasticlala for good recommendations.

But then, how would you say seeing such huge and hefty ruminant animal in your crib is normal for you? E be like say your house an breeding ground.

Na cat and rat fight be that still brutality ..if no be cat who come do the poor rat like that ..

swallows rodents

Rats do eat one another fah... Snake will swallow it instantly. Offload those unnecessary loads in your room and in the kitchen if you are living in a self con apartment. I'll suggest you empty your room, probably there's a hole that can accommodate such monster

I resumed a week ago. On Wednesday, I cleared my room and cleaned it.. Burnt lots of books. The room is basically empty as it is and clean. It's why I haven't bothered to reply to those talking about being dirty.

I killed one last night because it was late I left it there this morning Ant don remove some flesh from its mouth. And you know rat are cannibals too, when there is no food they tend to fight each other and eat themselves.

It can't be cats. If it was a cat, the rat would be headless because cats start eating small preys like this from the head.

It can't possibly be a snake, snakes don't chew, they swallow.


What could possibly leave them in this state is ants or some other rats, especially the long mouthed rat but that do not explain what kills them.


That's my confusion.

yea and also a strong roddenticide will do the trick use fish to attract them
