There is nothing like budget padding in the NA. The law gives them power to add, amend or remove items in the appropriation bill without recourse to the Executive arm.

The crux is that what they're addind will benefit their pockets directly.

Nothing is going to happen, just like nothing happened when Hon. Abdulmumin challenged House of Rep Speaker Dogara a few years ago over the same padding issue. Just look, read & move on. It is a yearly affair.

I understand. Just felt people should understand that they did nothing illegal by adding those projects.
By the way, most of the stuffs presented by the executive too will benefit their pockets and those of their cronies. Its just the naija way

Oh, the executives makes lot of money from phamtom capital projects too. If the previous budgets for capital projects in the last 6 years have been wel implemented, Nigeria will have improved tremendously.

The Legislature wanting ceremonial projects is.... it is what it is...

I guess you are a direct beneficiary of a legislator.

I heard they sponsor people education.

What program have you benefitted from.

Unfortunately i am not a beneficiary. In fact, their inefficiency and those of their colleagues ensured growing up was tough. Thankfully, i am not doing bad now and can objectively look at their actions.
Like i said earlier, i do not condone their actions but the law does give them the power to do so. And the executive could have simply refused to assent making it tougher for them to push it thru.

Oga, make we leave this people matter, they are all thieves.
