President Muhammadu Buhari is using the recovered $311 million stolen by the late Nigerian dictator, Gen. Sani Abacha, to construct the Second Niger Bridge, Abuja-Kano, and Lagos-Ibadan expressways, Abubakar Malami, the attorney general of the federation reveals.

“So I think we are doing wonderfully well in of deploying the recovery of the looted assets and deploying same in projects that impact positively on the lives of people,” he said.

Mr Buhari’s regime had recovered $322 million from Switzerland in 2017 and $311 million from the U.S. in 2020.

The attorney general also stated that Nigeria was looking at the possibility of recovering a further £200 million from the U.S. aside from other associated assets being pursued in other countries.

“We are pursuing a lot of assets across the globe, and we intend very soon, we are coordinating a further meeting relating to huge recovery in the UK associated with certain personalities,” Mr Malami stated. “But I would not like to give further disclosure in respect of that to put into consideration the need not to be pre-emptive as far as our strategies are concerned.”

The justice minister also pointed out that the issue of terrorism financing was a work in progress.

He claimed that Mr Buhari’s regime had succeeded in blocking terrorism financing in Nigeria.

One thing I've realized in this country is that our leaders are shameless set of people.

Sometimes we just prefer they should be silent.

So all the corruption fight, this is only what has been recovered?

And this 2nd Niger bridge that is taking forever to build.

THIS COUNTRY RECOVERS STOLEN FUNDS TO BE RE-LOOTED AGAIN BY THE SAME PEOPLE THAT RECOVERED IT

But GEJ paid for the bridge? A bridge he couldn't build in high oil prices and "best" economy.
Lol hateful ipob terrorists are just PDP slaves trying to restore their looting kingdom. This bridge was promised for 16 years.

51 trillion naira could not build the bridge.

At this rate its only a matter of time before Buhari and his team starts claiming that they used all the trillion dollar loans they collected to build The second Niger bridge! It has now become the only project being done in the South East and is being used to fake a non existent federal government presence in the East..
Meanwhile, They have already finished the tole gates for the bridge oo..
The tole gates were the first things to be finished. Essentially the Igbo man will pay for every dime to be spent on the bridge built by funds from a consortium. All these the while every bridge in this country is tole free.

Malami lacks the moral standing to tell Nigerians anything. He should play his politics and stop disturbing us.

What is his business with 2nd Niger Bridge?
