According to Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, Tax Partner at Price Water House Coopers (PWC), VAT is currently shared 50% to states, 35% to Local Govts and 15% to the Federal Government. The Federal Government will not lose money when states start collecting but may be the biggest winner to get as high as 60% instead of 15% the Federal Government is currently getting. Keeping northern feeding bottle safe and gombe commissioner and that kid governor is begging others to be their brothers keeper? FG might need to shed some responsibility and possibly remove some things from that evil exclusive list, but you see this VAT, some people go hear am mrvitalis: |

mrvitalis: The point is FG has jurisdiction over most of VAT generated so States clamouring for collection is not the solution. The problem here is not whonis collecting but hownit is being shared i.e. mere 20% based on derivation (states collected from) and whooping 50% on equality and 30% based on their fake population data. If states push to collect, FG still controls the bulk of VAT collection which is from import VAT, international VAT, and From F.C.T. 3 Likes |

Dovegrey:All you Children, back stabber for speaking the truth, you think by deceiving yourself, it turns to the truth? Why not advocate for the Local Government to keep their resources & revenue, why should Eti OSA share it’s revenue with Alimosho Local Government? Why should the Local Governments collect 35% & the state collects 50%? What kind of cheating is this, what does the state do to be collecting 50%? 1 Like |

omowolewa:The RMFAC should also review their distribution process, Local Governments should keep 60% of their revenue, whilst the states get 30%, FG 10%, not the present wayo States 50%, Local Governments 35%, FG 15%. 4 Likes 1 Share |

The people that makes the law say Federal shall collect you say no, so let them change it to Local Governments controls & collects revenue for their resources, same laws that gave the states the powers have stripped them off those powers, why are you complaining? 1 Like 1 Share |
