I when I argued with a friend who said my MTN line is always switched off, he then called me and it said that my number is switched off while I was holding my phone in my hands (switched on with full network bars on my MTN line)... I'm still yet to know the actual cause.

I have been a member of this forum for a while now and normally I read , learn and move on ,it has definitely been a rewarding experience. However I notice that it has become a trend for " some people " to unnecessarily try to bash a particular phone brand or manufacturer ( Xiaomi has been on the recieving end lately ) I want to believe it is just trolls trying to derail people from making good choices , if you follow reviews / opinion on GSM Arena I can assure you , you wont buy any phone as virtually all phones have one complaint or the other i in the early 2010s once I buy a phone I jump on to GSM Arena to read opinions and almost instantly regret my purchase I then decided to change tactics by reading the reviews before buying ,that did not help either as mostly found it difficult making a choice so I decided to just go with specs and buy phones when I needed to. Technology has come a long way ( my first " smart phone " was a sendo X back in 2004 and now we have phones with equal processing power as a laptop ,there will definitely be hiccups here and there but mostly there is always room for improvement. Once a troll is notced , don't feed his/her frenzy by responding I believe if we all ignore trolls we can have more favourable interactions Kudos to Genius43 and all those taking their time to attend to people's issues. Xiaomi is still fresh and a growing company and I believe they have actually sured expectation for a company that is just breaking into the smart phone market dominated by Samsung and Apple let's cut them some slacks.

I never do that... my MTN is mostly set to 2G/3G sef, it's either it's a Redmi issue or an MTN issue.

Hope you know not all M3/9T get this issue? I just delivered 1 R9T to a friend on Monday. He hasn't called to complain about anything.

Gurus, I did a hard reset on my note7 by pressing and holding the power button this afternoon, only for it to take me to main menu. I have selected reboot option but it brings me back to the thesame main menu instead of loading the phone normally. I was on my second space when this happened. What I noticed at first was that the volume button was pressing on it's own which made me do the hard reset. I have so many files on this phone and can't afford to lose it.

*Update*

I tried to call mine now with another phone and I noticed it takes so long before I get notification of an incoming call when set to 4G. It will be ringing on the caller side but I won't get any notification until after about 5 seconds before it shows up.

But it is quite fast when set to 3G or 2G. when on 4G, it changes automatically to 3G before the call comes in. I guess that's what is responsible for the delay.

Mine has only preferred access so it can switch automatically by itself. (Screenshot attached)

It's clear there's an issue with ur volume button. Even in ur previous post, I guess what was happening was that you would try to reboot ur phone by pressing d power button, and ur phone will press the volume button on its own, that's why you were rebooting to recovery mode.

Advice : Fix the volume button ASAP.

My Redmi 8 completely lost network signal 3 days ago and it never came back. I've given the phone to technicians, all of them said the network cable and everything else is intact.

They have flashed and updated the phone and yet, no signal. Any similar experience or suggestions will be appreciated.

ok. How long have you been using it?

Android 11 seems to have a general Ghost touch problem especially if you flip the phone into landscape or multitasked for a bit.

I am hoping Xiaomi can fix it soon before Android 12 because that update na till next year.

Your Volume Flex is bad, fix it.

If you are close to a service centre take it there. I still suspect the Antenna wires being faulty
