Ever since the pandemic last year, I have had reasons to work from home. Everything was fine until my Muslim neighbors in Oshodi decided to change their PAS and get an even louder one and they use it their 5 times daily. Evenings are worse.

Its not as if the buildings are even close but whenever their service starts, you literally can't do anything else: you can't hear any other device that has a speaker, not to even talk of phone calls nor Zoom meetings, no matter where you are in the house.

I have reached out to them to reduce the volume or at least turn the direction of their speaker but no response. It has started affecting my hearing.

Money never reach to relocate go Banana Island for peace and quiet. Plus apartments are very hard to find in Lagos.

I have tried ing LASEPA, I have all the evidence they need but part of their process published on their website includes mediation in which they will call for both parties to have an agreement on the way forward. But me never ready for that one coz I love my life, as you well know those people can be diabolical. Make dem no go do me something. Obviously I cant report anonymously.

Is there anything I can do? The mosque is on Owoseni Street, Oshodi.

Same problem I'm facing with a church near my side.
I have a church and a mosque near me. The mosque pas is just for around 2 minutes and five times daily.

While the church own is worse. There's night vigils, evening prayer sessions three times a week, loud drumming when they're rehearsing in the midnight amongst others.

Get a quality head phone or ear piece. It helps eliminate noise from surroundings to a great extent.

I just my current roommate, this guy will wake up around 3am put on the light, play Quran recitation with Bluetooth speaker and start shouting up and down in the name of praying. I use to love Muslims until I stayed with this one, let's not talk about his extremely loud farts before every prayer well, I'll be moving out next year because I'll rather stay in a poultry than staying with him again.
