Lagos state University (LASU), student activist, Yusuf Nurudeen, a.k.a Omomeewa, has been shot dead. has been shot dead.

Omomeewa, who got married early this year, was killed around the LASU U-turn hours after facing a disciplinary committee in the school.

The school had grilled him over alleged unlawful possession of university documents, among others.

The unionist graduated in 2019 from the Department of Educational Management, Faculty of Education. He was the Founder of Educational Rights Campaign (ERC).

LASU Students’ Union President, Bus Uthman, and Public Relations Officer, Olusola Kolawole, confirmed his death in a statement.

Exactly what I'm asking o, because he was literally shot in front of Lasu gate.

But judging from the stories I've heard, I think his activism got him in trouble with the school management and he had to face disciplinary committee. His certificate was also withheld by the school. So he was probably trying to get his certificate from the school.

Who killed him or why he was killed is still a mystery though, but many believe it's very much connected to his activism in Lasu.
