Guys,I have a big problem. I ed at Festac office but the day I ed,they said the printer was bad and I couldn't get the enrollment slip. And I would need it to get my port, as it is,I applied since June. My aunt gave me a there and the man keeps saying it is still in production. I dunno what to do. And I stay so far away

How far I didn't get my enrollment slip too the day I captured....I forgot to collect it....it wasn't about after a month that I ed I didn't collect it called my agent and he help me get it at the capturing room....my best bet is if you went the agent route call your agent and explain...he/she should be able to help no issue....if it was DIY you go need tip person inside that capturing room to help you get am out...it isn't a big deal sha....all the best

Method: DIY.
port type: Change of name due to marriage

But there is gist o. Somebody kindly shared NIS Facebook page so I sent a message to find out if my port was ready.

I did not get a response so I decided to go today since it is already 6 weeks.

Immediately I wrote down my name, I was taken to the office of the assistant comptroller Ogun state command. The man told me my message has caused a ripple effect and he had been receiving calls from everywhere. He even showed me the message on his phone.

The message was a simple message o. I just asked for the person in charge of the page to help me check if my port was ready o.

He told me to write an apology message. In my mind I was like 'for what na'. I however wrote a thank you message that I already collected my port and I wasn't aware it was ready.

Those people are funny set of people .
It's a good thing you wrote the letter sha ,beacuse that Facebook page is NIS Servicom page ,it's the customer query page for people to track their port .

Not everybody has the luxury of going to the port office everyday ,reason why people use that page .There are some people here whose port would have been ready a month ago but will still be relying on insider's info.

True. Started the processing today at Alausa. I applied on the 12th August. Submitted all documents today 18th August. I was told i should wait for 3 to 5days for capturing. Though a bit stressful and time consuming. So hopefully its same time.

Print the form out and fill the necessary information of the guarantor. Then go to the court to notarize it. Then attach his port, NIN or drivers license and port photograph.

It was a change of name due to marriage and not DOB correction.

following steps from here

So i commenced payment and pre-enrollment online....... Infact to cut the long story short, they intentionally frustrate DIYers. They ask who is processing for you, once you say no one, they start asking for something ridiculous and unnecessary that others around you don't have. Long story short, go with every original and most insane document to back up your application and never forget your patience at home if you wants to DIY.
My experience was appalling at Ikoyi immigration office.

Rivers state applicants please go on to the NIS page on facebook that has been shared here and report your grievances there to NIS.
I believe it will yield something. What is going on at PH is becoming something else and it is too bad for one of the top 3 cities of Nigeria to be doing this.

My own port was for renewal, the process might be a little different for fresh ports.

For example, I didn't need a guarantor's form but that will be important for fresh ports.

During online application, I specifically chose 'change of name due to marriage'

Documents submitted:
Previous port
NIMC slip reflecting new name
Husband's NIMC slip
Photocopy of husband's port biodata page.
Marriage certificate
Change of name Affidavit
Newspaper publication.

Every other documents should be the same as for the usual port application
