I did change of name due to marriage recently at Alausa
I pay 26k online and submitted my file for vetting on the 16th of July, got text for capturing on the 5th of August,
One of the officers told me they transferred the application to Abuja rrasons for the 3weeks plus salah break in between
naughtylagosguy:

Correction of data (change of name, correction of name, and change of DOB) can only be done in Abuja. I know this because my wife recently changed her name on her international port.

Whether the process can be done in other states, I don’t know, but I’m sure they will still have to forward the application to Abuja for approval.

May be it's a 10 year validity port. Otherwise, it's kind of high.

Good day! Everyone.

I was told at Immigration office, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State that I have to pay N45,000 to process my international port acquisition. Considering the lower prices of N17,000 to N26,000 I've seen so far in this thread, is that price genuine? Your response would be helpful. Thank you.

Take your printout to Alausa to begin the process. The interview date is not relevant.

Money talks. If you're seated there, you will notice those who'll come in newly and still get theirs done.

If you paid through one of them, hold that person well. If not, they'll frustrate you for paying the normal price and they'll even say port no dey. Corruption is in that place abeg

If you are born before Dec 1992, you can use age declaration. Anything other than that you need birth certificate.
Must it be a recent one. My age declaration was done in 2008.

I can only speak for Alausa in Lagos where I obtained my port.

However, the interview date does not matter, what matters is if the port office is DIY friendly. I Will advise you to go to the port office.

Update on the Newly Enhanced Nigerian port

The Newly enhanced e-port - Validity and Cost

- 32 pages valid 5 years is N26, 000
- 64 pages valid 5 years is N35, 000
- 64 pages valid 10 years is N70,000

NOTE: These prices are valid for only three states; Lagos, Abuja and Rivers and all ages will pay same price for ONLY these 3 locations.

For the rest of the 33 states, price is as follows;

- 32 pages valid for 5 years N17,800
- 64 pages valid for 5 years N23,000

NOTE: Children less than 16 and adults 60 and above pay 11,000 for 32 pages which is valid for 5 years.

Also, be aware you'll be paying online, not like before where you pay exorbitant amount on counter, based on who you know.

If you are applying in Nigeria, You don’t need any immigration officer to help you. Simply pay online, print your receipts and forms online and go with all your documents to their office.

Any documentary requirements that will be asked are specifically stated on the portal below.

https://immigration.gov.ng/standard-port/

Then when you want to apply online, click on fresh port, if you have never had a port.

If you have had a port click on renewal

*DIY New/Fresh International port*

*Stage 1*: on their website and pay 25k +1k for service charge...total 26k

*Stage 2*: still on the website, print guarantors form, acknowledgement form and Payment Receipt.

*Stage 3*: Take the form to your guarantor to fill, your guarantor will attached port photograph, photocopy of international port data page, and photocopy of NIN or Drivers licence.

*Stage 4*: Take the guarantor's form to court for stamp(they will collect 500 naira or 1k)

*Step 5*: Go to your selected centre for capturing
I used Ikoyi, Lagos State, so I will be using Ikoyi as an example.

*Doc to take to Ikoyi, port office*

1. Application form

2. Acknowledgement form

3. Payment Receipt

4. Filled and stamp guarantors form with international port DATA page and NIN slip or Drivers licence

5. 2 port photograph (your own)

6. Photocopy of NIN slip

7. Photocopy of Birth certificate

8. Photocopy of State of Origin

*You can also go with original of 6,7 and 8*

*Step 6*: When you enter Ikoyi port office, by the right hand you will see a "Servicecom" sign, speak with any of the staff sitting inside the cubicle.

He/she will collect all your document vet it and return it with another documents and ask you to photo it and fill (make sure you photocopy it before filling)

After filling retire it to the "ServiceCom" person . He or she will open a file for you and write places you have to go for g and stamping.

After stamping in one place, ask the person "where is next" politely and follow through the process.

When you're done with capturing, before stepping out of the capturing hall, a man will collect your file and it.

After that, take your file back to the "ServiceCom" personnel and your DONE.

Ikoyi Office was used as a case study, if you’re within Lagos state Alausa port Office is highly recommended

Hello.
Can anyone share information on the port renewal process in Port Harcourt, rivers state?
How long does it typically take to get the port in Ph office if you follow DIY process?
Is it easier to go to neighboring states like Akwa ibom or bayelsa and do it there?

Guarantor form is ed online from NIS website
Then ensure your guarantor has
1. Current Int'l port
2. National ID or driving license
3 . A port photograph of the guarantor
Then you're good to go.

oh, okay. Thanks for the response, i live in Ota so its not that far (about an hour journey so i heard). Were you sent an SMS to come pick up when it was ready or you went there without getting the message.
Please how long did it take before it was ready

It wasn't the era of text messages. It took more than 2 months after capturing. My sister that did in Alausa last year got a text for collection so I guess the SMS is a new thingy
