See as they resemble Igbo people and even call it "Esi" like Igbos. Whoever divided Igbo people, it will never be well with these people.

When Nnamdi Kanu says we are taking some Edo people with us to Biafra, these are some of the people. These are pure Igbo blood.

koondog: As long as they live in our dear state, they're Edo people. Onitsha have a lot of Edo culture, why are we not claiming onitsha? There's Asaba and the rest of Anioma people who have similarities with Edo people. 71 Likes 4 Shares |

Kundagarten: You just have to know that EDO STATE is just a mere political state creation That they are found today in present day Edo State should not erase the fact that they might have a cultural and historical connection to the Igbos 55 Likes 2 Shares |

What is the meaning of this? These ones just want attention like we have given to their fellow alleged "Bini Slaves" like bikere and Irka. Ndi be anyị please resist any temptation to give these ones that attention they are looking for. They are simply Bini whatever the Bini call them. Whether slaves or otherwise 11 Likes |

Kundagarten:And Wetin concern you with Onitsha. You are lucky we are not the claiming type instead we will be claiming the throne of Bini because you people accepted that Eze Chima was a crown Bini Prince meaning that his father is Igbo. No Bini person names his son Igbo name. You people stole his/our crown 18 Likes 1 Share |

Etsako Central people are not Igbos. Their language and culture is mostly Edoid but one can't rule out small similarities with Igbos because our fathers did travel far and wide those days rendering services all over the SS and SE. Most Estako people are called Afenmai and certain clans their have noted some connections they have with Igbos notably the metalsmiths in one small community their who claim relationship with the famous Awka Blacksmiths. Awka Blacksmiths were known to have travelled to Idah, deep into Edo state and as far as Urhoboland as itinerant artisans. There are historical records by researchers. Masquerade masks from Igboland have been seen among the Estakos which possibly was borrowed from their. This New Yam festival may also be borrowed since most Edoid are not known for having such festivals. By and large, these people are not Igbos both linguistically and culturally. They are clearly Edoid but certain features among them are also found among the Igbos. Edo North is a very complex area of different languages. It's very clear that the power of the Benin Kingdom was what held sway and greatly influenced all of them. 27 Likes 2 Shares |

Fejoku:And who said they are Igbo? We already see through the brouhaha. They are looking for attention to be relevant. The same attention my misguided brothers wasted on Ikwerre and Ika they made people to know that they exist but they won't see any. We are smarter now. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Anything for the black Jews lash on their parasitic finger on. They may look like igbo but there are not igbo. Igala are not Yoruba despite closer similarities Look at their bead, their cloth like Bini, shey igbo get indiegenous cloth? The problem started when igbo were borrowing culture left and right and will call it their own. 5 Likes |

It's only in Edo state you find majority tribe like Yoruba, Igbo, Igala, Ebira, Ijaw, urhobo, Bini, Esan, Etsako, Okpameri, and so others tribe yet they live in peace together. They also bear in different tribe names without discrimination. Edo's are very wonderful people and bless by God. Nice state.

Na wah. Live and let live. 100 years to come max, this generation would be forgotten. So, why not just live and enjoy life while alive rather than throwing tantrums? Where is Olauda Equiano today? Where is Omo Oba Sarah Forbes Bonetta etc today? |
