Well, I resigned from a banking job around March cos I was tired of the kind of job I was doing, no joy not happiness whatsoever. This is my 4month of not having a full time job. Funny thing is, I work remotely for two brands, one in Nigeria and one abroad but the pay is just there to keep me going to find something better. So yeah, I thank God for what I have and at least can still seed something to my younger sibling in school.

Truth is I'm currently in my lowest right now, just striving to stay happy and not feel sad. Don't know why though sad
what type of remote job ?

10 months and I have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Europe. I relocated to Nigeria last year due to a family member’s health issue and was told that the industry doesn’t exist here for my skills and that I needed to know people in high places to get a job.
how can you have PhD in Europe and then you relocated to NIGERIA?

I am just speechless.

I highlighted why in my post. Health issues of a family member. I was told Nigeria is a consumer country and just hasn’t reached the level of technology advancement I was at in my career. Literarily, they felt they couldn’t pay me even though I was willing to work for less than I was used to. And the roles that even were available, you needed to know someone to get them.

3 months after submitting my Final year project.

Spent the next 3 months in a hotel, from there to a commercial bank where I worked before NYSC. Then served with a multinational where I got retained. The rest is history. By God's grace, I'll be employing people soon.
Boss, I Just Submitted My Final Year Project About Two Months Ago, If You Can Please Connect Me To Somewhere/Anywhere I Can Be Getting Little Something.
Thanks.

I have never been unemployed before.. Started working before my final year project defence. I worked in Lagos and served in Abeokuta simultaneously.
Left the job after two years... I got employed by a Nigerian company operated from the UK remotely. Started another job here again later on, remotely... I will be starting another remote job by September, this one is based in San Francisco, CA USA. Making it three jobs simultaneously... With loads of contract jobs with some companies here in Nigeria.

God has been Good to me when it comes to jobs and contracts. I don't stress myself, I can say I have more than 95% success rate, when it comes to interview.

My only problem is that, it's taking over my life and I am beginning to get tired of all of them.

I won't lie I am not enjoying my life anymore... But again, poverty is not palatable even in its simplest form.

All I am looking for now, is too land a job with any of the fortune 500 and I hope God will do that soonest... I will just drop all of these ones... Start-ups jobs are too overwhelming.

In fact, having read peoples' comments I almost wept, it's so pathetic. Though I have a cousin who graduated 11 years ago, with a very good grade, but job was not forthcoming, this January God had Changed his story, he got Federal appointment through a good Samaritan he never met one on one, the man just told him to forward his Name the way it is spelt in his results, year of graduation and Discipline.

The rest is history, my essence of this is to give hope to some people and make use of any opportunity that comes your way. If you are privilege to meet an important personality tell him straight, that you are a graduate you wouldn't mind any job, before you know it,God have answer your prayers, most especially this Aboki they are very good in helping people, regardless of your tribe or religion

As a consultant, the last job I did for a client was in April. Since then, nothing concrete has come up. I have been reading up on other things and looking out for other gigs. Yes, the last pay has been sustaining me and family and I am waiting for any other one before end of the year.

It's well. May God help us all in Jesus name. Amen.

I think starting a digital business like digital marketing or marketing doesn't require much capital also you can sign up with real estate companies for free to market their properties and get commission then pick up from there.

Also you can learn graphics design and start branding and deg for people.

These are things people who have no jobs can do with little or no capital.

Just an advice.

I've been in the no job position for 2 years 10 months and it's only God that helped me survive and now I'm still looking for something better.

I don't think anyone should spend so much time in seeking job... Once you are jobless, it you are jobless and go for volunteering... It will burst your CV to get a better job....not having a job is not the problem, being jobless is a big problem

How does one volunteer and any tips..?
