If a husband is on a student visa and wants to bring in my wife who is a doctor, what is the best way to go about it so she can practice as a doctor.

A friend of mine's usa visit visa was withdrawn at chicago port of entry 5years ago and was sent back on the available flight to Nigeria. Can this also be stated as visa refusal or not and will it not affect the chance of getting a uk student visa. Thank you

Your husband cannot use your date.
Everyone has their different appointments.
If you get a date then only you can go on that date except the rest do walk in.

However for ikeja,you have to go and put down their names a day before else they can't walk in with you.

Visa approved.

Some personal observations wt the application.
The TLS app tracking app was not functional throughout.
The applications were better tracked via online. The online track status may be the most quickly updated for now. Online
"Application transferred to VAC" first observed around 11:30
"Application received by VAC" first observed around 14:42

Via email:
Application assessed and document ready for collection came in quick succession around 14:40.

Summary, it is better to track online than via email.

It's not a rumour, it happened to me in Lagos, I don't know about Abuja, infact, they turned a family of 5 back on the day of my biometric, they only took 2 out of them and the other 3 put down their name for the next day.

For walk in, Ikeja TLS is very very busy. To be attended to, you have to have come to put your name down the day before.
Then they attend to Walk in on the following day.

Yesterday, they only attended to two people who came newly. As in there's no amount of begging or story or waiting. The ones who came the day before are the only guaranteed ones.
And day before yesterday, I learnt they didn't attend to anybody who came newly at all.

So travellers from out of state, be guided. I am writing this specifically for una.... though I think VI is not as bad for walk in. However you pay a separate fee to use VI.

For IOM also, you are unlikely to get certicate same day except you come very very early.

Once again, fellow out of state people, take note. Several guys had to start changing plans and looking for where to sleep

No please, to my knowledge it is not possible to change to another TLS centre after choosing one already.

Please, others who are yet to book for an appointment in Lagos may want to consider the VI option for closer dates.

Yes please, you will still have to pay for assisted service.

If you didn't choose assisted service during your application and you have submitted already, then you can go with your ATM card, so you can make payment for the service at the centre.
