Well, FG is responsible for paying back funds used for world bank assisted projects at the federal level. So you see, the FG led by Buhari will pay back for the money AFDB is using to finance the construction. Same way FG will pay back for the funds Chinese are using to finance the Maradi rail.

Hush please! This is being funded by the AFRICAN Development Bank (I put African in caps so you can actually see, hopefully at least)! There are clear logical reasons and benefits for this but on the other hand, we have a senile president whose only reason for leading a broke Nigeria to single-handedly fund a railway to Niger is because he has familial ties a.k.a cousins in Niger! He is actually taking loans that Nigeria alone would have to pay back! How does that even make sense to you?

If it was even a t project between the 2 countries with Niger paying a significant percentage under some MOU, it would have made a bit of sense but in his usual empty socialist mindset, he thinks it is all about playing big brother even when he doesn't have the capacity to! And this is happening when the citizens of the country he presides over lack basic amenities, are dropping into poverty with high unemployment rates and his government cannot guarantee basic security and protection of lives and property of citizens which should be the primary focus/objective of every government!
