you need only one guarantor and the guarantor can be anyone (you know). My friend was my guarantor. I also used DIY, the feeling is sweet.

you can't. You should know this country ain't that advanced

You won't get captured same day if it is DIY. I guess that is cos of NIN & online payment confirmation. Even those paying runs money for fresh port have to wait till after somedays or a week as well before they can capture and if you go for capturing without that you will be sent back when you get to the room cos your file will have no stamp /signature till it goes thru necessary desk. As per vetting you don't have to wait till the interview date,you can try sort that out tomorrow

what state are you applying from? If u are applyin in lagos, abuja,ph and ogun u must use NIN
if the other states, then nin is not compulsory

So I planned to share my experience from Abeokuta with you guys.

Yesterday was my capture date, got there with all the required docs and went straight to the servicom desk.

I was told some docs were missing but not to worry the lady there explained what was missing.

1. There are 2 particular forms that you need to get from them and fill (note: I have heard some places would tell you to get this online if they notice you did DIY)

2. You need 2 printout of the payment page

3. You need to go with your old port if it's renewal.

The most important stuff is, go to the center to submit your documents days ahead of your interview. This would help you from getting delayed.

Abeokuta is cool thou. Quick service and lots of folks willing to help without expecting cash from you.

Lots of port are also available for collection, saw lots of port yesterday.

That's the little I can say. Feel free to ask any questions, if I have any info I would share. Cheers and good luck to all japa plans

Please, was NIN slip required?

My DIY route experience....Festac Office
After being charged 50k by an agent and it would take six weeks to be ready due to the new policy according to him, i decided to go the DIY way...

1. Payment online of 26k (25k+1k charges fee)using the saana pay option on immigration portal.
2. payment receipt, Acknowledgement receipt, guarantors form and application page.
3. Certificate of Origin from my state liason office cost 3k with one port attached.
4. Took my already filled guarantors form to a magistrate court for stamp and seal. Cost 1k.
5. Guarantors port photograph just 1 was requested.
6. Original Birth certificate.

On getting to the immigration office i proceeded to servicom met an officer who assisted to arrange my documents in the following manner using servicom file i observed that it is quite different from other white files i do not know why tho ( please do go with originals as they will request to sight it and ensure you have no conflicting details such as name, DOB as it will cause you more delay):-

3 copies of payment slip, Application page, 2 port photography (applicant), 1 copy of guarantors port photo attached to the guarantors form, Datapage of guarantors port, NIN slip photocopy (applicant) Nin slip of guarantor not requested. He arranged all in the file and entered the details In a , and took me to another area where an officer vetted the documents, stamped behind the last document in the file and directed me to another officer who entered my details in another . Afterwards i was directed to another officer who checked again,entered details in her own , gave me a slip and asked me to come for capturing the next day.

I must say the officers are kind contrary to what i have read about them. None of them asked for bribe and the whole process was fast and easy. On getting to the NIS gate a lot of touts came and started telling me testimonies of their in house link and why i should patronise them but i didn't pay attention to any.

I and my family captured in March 2021. And we have not collected the booklet. I thought they want to deal with all pending applications before attending to new ones.
