at the Nimc office official fee for dob modification is 15k and you will provide bvn data page,birth certificate,and a letter the process is stressful. Just stick with the servicom option is a better route to solving this. But make sure you ask them the adequate questions for a faster result.

Servicom referred me to NIN office...do you know how long this might take?

This is getting confusing. My immigration guy at Abeokuta has been swearing that there are still no booklets, but some ppl here are collecting.

It's not confusing. What your should have told you is the date they printed upto and still expecting more but that they do not receive booklet recently is a far lie. The date of issue is May 18 which is Tuesday.

I understand your frustration. Ask your for the right information. I applied for fresh port for my children via DIY.I dont know about those with DOB or any other issues issues. I went for capturing on the 6th of January 2021 for my children and received a call from Abeokuta NIS in the first week of May to come and pick it up. I went on Tuesday 18th May for pick up, and i met lot of people who came to collect theirs.
People that tell lies at will, always accuse others of doing same. Calm down, wait for your port.

Please tell him. I don't know why he can't understand that people are collecting port in Abeokuta. My kids date of issue is April 24th.

Most times, its the error emanates from the NIN officials. When through same as my middle name was incorrect.

I would advise us to man-mark the officials when doing the correction. They are Human. Its the Gov that's charging heaven and earth.

Please note that NIMC is in charge of NIN DOB correction, not Servicom.

Based on this, do whatever the requirement is (check their website) and recapture. My details was updated after 3 days of recapture.

Good Morning Beautiful people.

This is my issue, i want to do a change of surname on my International port (as a man). Firstly, the port is expired since 2015. I have all documents ready to take to Sauka Abuja NISHQ.
This one that i am reading booklets are not ready, does this stop me from getting my change of name approved?

Secondly, after approval has been given, can i approach any NIS offices in the country for my new port instead of going back to Abuja again for capturing and biometric to get the new one.

Finally, How many weeks will the approval take. I am doing all these by my self online and submitting the hard copies in Abuja from Lagos. ( I don't have N170,000 to dash any Staff of NIS for this) .
