What are my options for a 48v LiFePO4 battery. I want to explore local suppliers before I consider importing it myself.

Also, will you be happy for me to test the capacity so make sure the tested capacity is the d capacity...
For example, I have witnessed situations where a 10KWh battery (48v/200ah) battery was tested to only have 7KWh

Cheers
u are better off importing yourself, as i doubt any seller will agree to go that route with you.

Ok Thanks for the suggestions. I'll start looking for suppliers

Hi,

Good thing you want to go the lithium way,

As par local suppliers ojesky gave a suggestion to this in one of his earlier post, about those who import and couple cells locally, you might want to engage them to get what best suits you as they might give you the freedom of testing ....

Or

You can buy several known brands locally available like Pylontech of different energy variant, BYD, BSLBATT, Dryness and others ... These you get what their spec sheet states.

Hello everyone, please can you suggest a solar system (including brands of inverter and battery) for me with the following load

Standing fan (92 watt)
Bulbs (5 watt x 8 )
32" TV (60 watt)
Sound system (60 watt)
Bruhm freezer (I am not sure of the wattage but on checking the back of the freezer, there is a stated energy consumption of 1.201kwh/24hrs) I will attach a picture of the freezer

Looking at back up time of 5 hours

6 Unit of 300W Solar (wired in parallel)
60A Mppt Solar Charge Controller
Battery Rack & Solar Frame
Cables, Breakers & Accessories.

Can I ask why the six units of 300w PV have to be wired in parallel?

I wonder too. Sometimes, you will wonder if some of these installers really know what they claim they know.

Hi
if you can make your loads more efficient in bold, you can get a better run hour/back-up time

If you run your refrigeration during day hours, then you have a more backup time to run other things at night

I can share with you a form/doc to know your usage pattern which will stand as real-time reference to prevent a poorly designed solution for you

Standing fan (92 watt) - If Ox fan ( you can get DC fans of around 20W max each ) to replace this one
Bulbs (5 watt x 8 )
32" TV (60 watt) - If your TV has Eco setting in display setting, then you reduce consumption further
Sound system (60 watt) -
Bruhm freezer (I am not sure of the wattage but on checking the back of the freezer, there is a stated energy consumption of 1.201kwh/24hrs) I will attach a picture of the freezer - 1201Wh/24h = ~51W ( lets say 150W Max.)

This is quite nice. If she cooks from 7am - 8am (which is 1hr), depending on burner used, she would have pulled 1.8kwh or 1.2kwh from your batteries, which will be replaced by your solar arrays when the sun shines.
I used to think Lithium battery is the only ideal solution for Electric cooker. It's nice to know there is more to explore.
3 years running, I use both induction and infrared cookers. The induction ones are way faster and more energy efficient but become problematic when you need low heating (most do a PWM kinda regulation rather actual power reduction). One could say the same of the infrared ones except they have better temperature control due to the stove surface itself being heated

3kw load for cooking on only 4 tubular batts isnt good. the batteries will likely fail prematurely and not go past 3yrs.

edit, i read where u said you use only 1 burner ..if so.. can i assume thats 1500w?. thats still a bit heavy for the batts...and cooking for that matter which could go on for an hour or 2. you stand a better chance pulling such loads on pressing iron or microwave, since they are intermittent, and last 5 to 10 mins max, my microwave pulls about 1700w at peak..and i ran same on 4 tubular batteries, which lasted about 5yrs
Varies. My dual infrared burner is rated 750W and 1.5kW and the 750W cooks everything but the largest pots (gets rather slow). The 1.5kW is used for afternoon cooking when I'm getting anywhere from 2kW to 3.5kW from the s.

The Andrew James induction cookers are dual and single rated as 1,000W & 1,500W for the dual and 1,500W for the single. The 1,500W burners are used only when the sun is out. 200AH 48V VRLA bank with backup similar FLA bank. No problems yet despite aging batteries.

My best induction cooker has been a nameless brand bought on Jumia. Actually throttles back on power instead of pulsing it. Worked wonderfully until I met it in a pool of water one evening. Power IC promptly died and haven't been able to replace it (has no legible inscription on it)

Can anyone help me with the installation and configuration of WatchPower software... Preferably on a raspberry pi. I'm based in Lagos and we can negotiate payment.
My (hybrid) inverter has all the necessary data ports

I'm also open to better monitoring software to watch power if available
