You might NOT have been scammed like a lot of people are saying. You can track the status of your application on the Canadian website to confirm if the case has been determined or not. The mistake you made is before you applied, you should have checked how long the application will take. Canadian immigration website always specifies that. I learnt it is taking one year plus due to Covid-19 now.

The truth is we can't say for now.
Even if he's legit the duration for a Canada visa processing takes up 4/6months presently...

Anybody with an experience with situations like this with an agent should pls help me, am begining to lose my mind with my current state of joblessness and doubts of the legitimacy of the agent securing my visa.

With that said, im not saying you're scammed yet. Some agent get slot to sell, some get inside job. But why pay the whole 1m without seeing visa confirmation

Honestly, I can boldly say that agents are a group of people who get free money from people who are too lazy to do their research. I could understand if you were a politician or some 'so-called' big man; hiring an visa agent would be equal to hiring a maid, driver etc, to do what you could do yourself.

In 2021, the internet should be an invaluable resource, especially for the younger generation. Visa agents are no longer necessary, don't be gullible.

Firstly don't listen to what many people are saying here, I vididly believe that your agent didn't scam you, Canada PR can take much longer due to the covid-19.

Since your documentation not online submission that will take you almost 6month, but if you submit your documents online that can only take you three months process, so you need to be extremely patient, and keep on teaching out to your agent time to time

So to me your agent didn't scam you because you did submission at VFS office, so you need to relax your mind and be more patient

But how many months now have you applied?

An agency to link you to an employer in Canada or to get you the Job and a Canadian Visa...Be like Na The Biometrics Them Take Job You Well...You don't need all that to secure a Canadian Visa.. Scam.

Since u did biometrics, don't worry. Sometimes canada takes more time than you'd already spent

Its very risky to do it with agents, its safer to do it yourself, the only thing you need is advise and direction, don't give anyone huge sums of money to do it. I hope its not a scam, even though its shouting scam, i don't know about Canada, they have their procedure.
