Please can one of the gurus explain below excerpt from Lafarge’s annual report to me. What is the expected total proceeds? Is the $8.2M quoted the net proceeds after deducting the items listed or is it the gross proceeds? Thanks

On January 20, 2021, the board of Lafarge Africa approved the disposal of the company's investment in Continental Blue Investment (CBI) Ghana Ltd to a third party F. Scott AG. The proceeds that Lafarge Africa will realize from the transaction amounts to US$ 8.2 million after repayment of a loan granted by Lafarge Africa Plc to CBI Ghana (US$ 5.8 million), settlement of earn-out obligation by Lafarge Africa Plc (US$ 3.6 million) and Payment for the Lafarge Africa Plc's shares by F. Scott AG (US$ 6 million). The parties have agreed to close the transaction no later than June 30 2021.

Make I put small mouth for the matter. In my opinion, Wapco might not witness massive dumping as may be expected considering the industry it belongs, investing into the future of the coy and the kind of leniency some stocks enjoy from Investors.

Take for instance the Brewery Sector, FGN policies were hard on them and investors kind of have understanding of this, thus they're not been punished as expected. Check out market response to NB, Intbrew, Champion's results.

Am really surprised with what our gurus said in this group. I must it am not as experienced as them Oooooo, however isn’t the prices of these stocks quite high?
I mean there isn’t anything economy wise to justify their prices.
Couldn’t it be that they are just doing what crypt and USA market stocks did a few weeks back before they are all crashing now ?
Our market doesn’t remain up in dividends season. Shouldn’t we observe and study this anomaly ?

Well, let's see if UBA will compensate with N1 for 2021 FYE Div. Besides this drop in dividend UBA shares ain't a bad asset in one's portfolio. At average entry price of N6, it's not a 'train smash' to hold.

A good company should have a goal to grow dividends and keep it steady. Not drop it for flimsy reason like UBA did for 2020 FY dividend.

They will pay heavily for it. I won't be surprised if it goes lower than my planned entry price...

Yes! Afripud payment is tomorrow hopefully, they'll pay it together. Zenith payment wasn't this hard, i received it the same day and case closed.
