Hi folks. I got my GCMS notes for the second time and I noticed the comment on Note 1 which was not there on the 1st GCMS notes I requested:
"Reassessment granted: Client is exempt from completing additional medical exam for their PR application as per the temporary Visa public policy. Please reassociate the IME number to the Visa file if the new validity date is not reflected in the system".
As per the second sentence in the quote above, does it in anyway entail that PPR is close? Or what can one deduce from this, please?
Any comment will be appreciated.
Thanks folks.
I am so glad you posted this, it really helped me a lot.

Given that health insurance would not cover your medicals, I wouldn’t redo it unless asked.
All my friends here in the US who got PPR didn’t redo medicals (I strongly believe they are extending the medical validity for US-resident applicants). I got an ADR too and there’s no medical request. So I’d hold on unless they say so or you have the money and just want to get ahead of it.
Hello,
Truly I got an ADR but no request for re med. Have you gotten a response yet since you submitted you ADR? I also was asked to provide all AD that you were asked to provide. interesting! please can you help me make a list of all you submitted. I am in a similar situation as you. Can we connect
My husband and daughter didn't get any closer date for re medicals. we will have to travel from IN to KY. Any advise please?

@Allegory
Are you saying medicals has been extended for those who are in the US? Please can you confirm this.
I have received an ADR but I have not been asked to re do my medicals even though it is now expired. what can I do in this case ? Should I re do my medicals? Has anyone had this situation?
Thank you.

Hello,
My husband and my little daughter relocated to me in the states, but they had their medical done in Nigeria before leaving and now all of our medicals have expired.
I have just received a message requesting for another medicals for my husband and my daughter only. like i said, mine is expired as well but I didn't get a request to submit mine. should I go ahead and re do my medicals as well?
Please can any advise me urgently.

I checked the first and no date was available and when i try to check the second time, it blocked me out and reset for tomorrow. Is there anyone who has the same problem please? How have you been able to get a date for drop off?
Thank you

It has not been on my profile since yesterday when I booked a normal appointment.
jhidey08:
oh wow! And It was there around 2pm today. You’ll have to keep checking I guess, or maybe you should send them a mail.

Philtos: 9:58pm On Nov 03, 2020 |
Thank you for your kind response. As of now, there is nothing like that on the top left corner.
jhidey08:
Abuja Embassy.
You’ll have to schedule a regular appointment first before you can apply for an expedited appointment, and you’ll need to attach your I20, Sevis fee payment receipt and maybe the normal appointment confirmation. You’ll see the option at the top left corner of the page you scheduled the normal appointment.

I have learnt so much... wow. Thank God i spoke up. I think i will wait till July before printing. can i take 4 months SOA? thank you

This is not a strong acct. Better pray not to be placed on AP with a statement like this. It may likely lead to refusal eventually. The total credit is as important as the balance. It is what they use to assess the financial strength of the sponsor--that is, if PLACED ON AP AND STATEMENT TAKEN DOWN.
Thank you so much. oh sure its real sponsor and he built his money over the months... so i have no fear, thank you

RED!! RED!! RED!!!
which one is opening balance, which one is closing balance, is it the same as total inflow and outflow...
|
Philtos: 5:02pm On Jun 20, 2019 |
What if the opening balance on a 6 months SOA is about 76000 and the closing balance is abot 12million... Is this acceptable.
blackmamba147:
its a 6 month statement right, as long as the opening balance matches or doesn't deviate much from the closing balance, I don't see any problem besides this funds can be classified as savings, so it doesn't need much inflow or outflow.

tCharlesVane:
Show that you accept responsibility for your shortcomings, even though many times the decisions are largely subjective. When asked say: "I am better prepared to present my case as I was unconvincing the last time" (Yes, take the blame like Akon and don't say it's the VO who didn't give you a chance)
In my opinion , you didn't own up with your response about ission into a university in Nigeria. You should've been upfront saying "I was slightly below the cut-off for ission and didn't qualify for an ission ..." Saying quotas, although true, appears to absolve yourself from your responsibility in the outcome. Don't blame JAMB or the system or anyone at interviews.
At interviews, you turn negatives to positives in interviews, so to follow up a response like that above, say something like: "... so it made me doubly determined to secure a scholarship at a much better and equipped university in the US" (which you did btw)
You should anticipate such questions when there are gaps in education and employment history. A typical question is "What have you been doing since xxxx?" Also, let what you say be consistent with what was filled on the DS form. I noticed after submitting, you no longer have access to the information on the form, so print the review before submitting and practice answers for specific questions.
There are general questions and there are specific questions tailored to each individual according to your profile. Use yours to raise questions and provide answers that you'll be confident about. For example, if you responded on the form that you have family or relative in the US, anticipate questions such as: "how long have they been in US?"... etc for something like this you shoud have at least 5 possible questions
It's never easy being on the spot but the good thing is that the more you practice the more confident you become.
Best of luck with your next interview

When I visited the U.S last summer, I stayed for about 3months and that did not stop me from getting my F1 visa some days ago. I think she needs to be prepd more and try to reapply - don't give up on schooling in the US, it will be more convenient for the two of you.

Inconsistency can lead to denial.
I don't know how the VO will react either ways..
She should hope for the best.
Are you advising her to still stick to No or she should say yes since her mum is legally in the US now?

Good morning.
Please, does any one here knows the earliest date for Abuja.
please what is the implication of having a mother who is a legal permanent resident in the US to a VO....
Here is the background...
A friend of mine is about to go for f-1 interview after been denied a renewal B1/B2 a year ago on the basis that she just graduated and she had no strong ties to her home country... since then, she has gotten a job, given birth and her mum has become a legal resident in the US. she would like to indicate that her mother is a legal perm resident in the US (She did not indicate that before because she felt it may affect her mother who at that time was processing her GC) but she does not know what the implication would be.... she need urgent advice please?
