Impressive. Better outing next time.

Obviously politically motivated. With this levels of tribalism, we might have gotten to the end of the road for the country.

Seems it's one of the government strategic measures to curtail the JAPA syndrome. Perhaps!

That Rupert dude had better get himself a supersonic speedjet 'cause he would surely need the service of the fastest one to catch a glimpse of Dangote rear light by the time his refinery get fully into active operation. And the moment is nearer than you might think it is.

Aussie2doc: Lagos don't have to convert BRT lanes to rail lines as each system is important. Perhaps, the advocacy should be on improvement, not eradication. After all, there are some couple of LRMT rail lines already planned to run inbetween the highways alongside vehicles, including the BRT. Perfect example are the BLUE LINES, about-to-commenced GREEN LINE, and the MONORAIL in the pipeline. So, BRT and Laswa LAGFERRY are systems that must not be sacrificed so as to encourage multiple options like the article claimed essential. 1 Like |

thomasjoe: I expect you to counter his claim with your percieved right information. At least, to educate far-away observers who share similar belief as him/er, that's what you should do instead of doing exactly what you ask him to desist from which is castigating opposition party instead of selling your own (ed)party on their strenght or achievements. Just my take, ain't on nobody's side. |

Newstory1: You guys always find ways to deflect blames away from the criminal/outlaw and shifting the faults onto the government, systematically ing illegalities. Who would approve shacks and shanties? Or did any of the squatters claimed to have approval documents? Soon you'll start blaming imaginary government agency for alleged approval of under-bridge dwellings too. SMH 1 Like |

Dudes like to overperform to launder a good image to the international communities. HowI wish they could be simply as efficient against the crimes in-country. Or is this feat a reflection of a new era?

That's right. We all must play our part individuality and collectively to build the very great nation we advocate for. And oh yeah, our roles shouldn't and mustn't stop at critism and blame games but extend to and heavily reflect patriotic discharge of duties and selfless discipline towards the growth of our individual, societal, sub-national and national developments, including and not limited to political, sectorial, and personal ability. The growth of this nation is our collective responsibility.

What I saw there are impractical “I will-s”. Each step he talked about as (p)requisite towards the subsidy removal needs explicit presentation on how to arrive at and/or implement them. This is definitely an obvious case of deceit and pretense. 1 Like |

This is why it humours me when someone feels there has to be a magical change for the best overnight. Like for real? Time we understand things would only turn around if we start manufacturing en mass and improve our act of patriotism. We need to diversify and strengthen our economy OR SINK. It's that simple. Time we solely rely on oil is over. It can't sustain us anymore.

Apparently that should get the refinery busy for around two months as they ramp up production to meet their full capacity gradually. We should even be good with steady supplies till year-end if, in truth, the two proposed batches of crude supplies are also dispatched to the facility in due time. Surely, some lights are gradually climbing up the horizon to put a lasting end to the dark days. GOD BLESS NIGERIA GOD BLESS LASG AND THE HOST COMMUNITIES WE RISE! |

I don't understand why we take too much time on projects of this viability and importance. Why not put all the proposed rail lines on the table and encourage the investors to pick a couple of them for faster delivery of the lines. The state can then shop for other investors for the remaining without allowing for a delay. LASG has got much to do than pushing some activities to future consideration. Good securing this, though. Push for more. |

Nobody argues that the refinery will wipe out our FX demand but it will reduce it drastically because majority of our FX demand goes into importation of fuel.

Safe to say he'll sell at a classified price to the NNPCl who can then adjust or adapt the price in relation with the amount budgetted for subsidy or on the flip side, in relation with their planned profit. Either ways it comes, time tells. |

Good. Hoping to see the scarcity disappear ASAP whilst the economy gradually rebound to health.
