I the good old days, i read a lot of novels, and even read more if i had money to purchase them. But nowadays, children no longer read novels. I am yet to see a child that loves reading, they are now more engrossed in tiktok.

I really dont understand this, why can't NNPC give him crude oil contracts?. NNPC is now operating more as a profit making organisation rather than a government agency. We currently consume 63 million litres a day, while dangote can refine 650,000 barrels a day, when converted to litres that is about 103 million litres, meaning that dangote only needs just 400,000 barrels of crude oil perday to take care of the whole country. then we dont need to get crude oil from abroad and we can save our FX. If NNPC really wanted us to refine crude oil in nigeria, they would have paid off their 20% stake in dangote refinery, but they havent. I am sure few persons are making millions of dollars from the crude oil we refine abroad which is why even the port harcourt refinery is still yet to start working. God has to save us from these cabals

That's not true, this agreement changes a lot of things. First is that, it will reduce the pressure on FX which will strengthen our naira since it is dollars we use to import fuel. also, it will likely help to reduce the corruption going on in NNPC concerning fuel subsidy payments MasterJayJay: |

When a bank grants a credit facility to a customer and the customer brings his house as collateral. the bank has 2 basis for valuing the property which is OMV(Open market value) and FSV (Forced sale value). OMV is the estimated price that an asset or property would sell for on the open market between a willing buyer and a willing seller. while FSV iis the estimated amount that an asset or property would sell for in a forced or distressed sale. . it is on the latter that banks sell properties to realise the loan that the customer failed to pay. i dont think any fraud was committed here.

Lol, nigerians keep deceiving themselves. nobody can guarantee such. You need to see what saudi arabia did in their country. They built a well equipped monitoring system that monitors even a drop of the nations oil. Our army cannot always be on guard 24/7, thats why there will always be vandalisation.

Of course Tinubu knew he would fumble much worse than this, that's why he did not go for any debate and was even delegating questions that he should answer to his ers who eventually became his ministers in that interview at chatham house, yet 8 million people still voted him into office. The root cause of this is illiteracy & poverty

Throwback:Maybe you don't know, but almost all banks in nigeria issue credit cards. At least, I'm sure of the first tier banks, but one thing is that the criteria is very high before they can issue it and so most nigerians do not fall into that category. Also, banks do not like to these credit cards because of the behavioral nature of nigerians who do not like to payback loans. |

Paraman:i dont understand, that a company is privately owned, does it mean it is not subject to the national regulations of the country it operates in. is there any bank in nigeria that is owned by government, why are they then subject to CBN policies |

emkz:But when dollar was selling at a high rate, the excuse these sellers gave for the high price was the exchange rate, now that exchange rate has reduced, what is the reason for this continuous hike in prices. this just shows that the naira rise is purely artificial and a bubble that is soon likely to burst |

I am almost certain this will turn into a white elephant project, the cost of this project will be x2 if or when the project is completed. i dont think they have done a thorough cost analysis, which should also involve briberies and kickbacks to Government officials

ppogba:The person you quoted is actually right. when these banks recapitalize, this wouild mean issuing new shares in the market, which can reduce the ownership percentage and earnings per share for existing shareholders. This dilution could put downward pressure on the stock price. So actually, existing shareholders may likely want to sell off their stocks. 6 Likes 2 Shares |
