Seems many people here know nothing about Russia and it's might. It's very funny comparing present day with Russia on warfare. My Honda pilot car is finding it difficult to move up a slope. When I apply break on a slope like climbing a bridge, if I release the break to accelerate, it will be rolling backwards until I apply force on the acceleration before it can move forward. In the process of applying the accelerate with force, the car jerks loudly while it moves. Also, I discovered that while driving, sometimes the D symbol starts to blink and when it starts, the car starts moving sluggishly. With all indication that the agricultural sector in Nigeria is underperforming in quality and credibility, which is blamed on several factors, from post harvest to processing etc, some farmers and individuals still believe there is every chance that the grain sector can be tly rebuilt and refaced.

It is very true the government wants the sector buoyant enough in production, before exporting.
So to achieve result, individuals can tly setup agricultural ventures, invest, but if there is enough capital, knowledge, and proper planning, individuals can commercially practice rice production.
Put your money in good use, not everybody can afford the huge sum required to run a modern rice farm, but we can tly.

About the project.
We are developing 100-1500 hectares of land in 3 years to cultivate rice.
Our target yield per hectare is 7.5 tons (7500kg) and thats about 150 bags of rice from one hectare and a bag of rice is sold for atleast 12,500, so do the maths.

nice write-up but what you have written don't seem to be visible in reality. In practice, most farmers in Nigeria produces an average of 2.5 to 3tons per hecter. On d point dat 7.5tons of produces 150bags of rice is not true either as paddy rice or processed rice. 7.5tons of paddy rice is equivalent to 75bags of paddy at 100kg per bag. 100kg of paddy rice produces an average of 70kg of processed rice, 20kg of husk and abt 10kg of bran if d milling machine is of high efficiency. Some machines even process less than 70kg of milled rice per 100kg of paddy rice. So, i wonder how u did ur calculation to arrive at 150bags of rice. In as much as u are trying to introduce people to rice farming/milling biz, pls try to also do a thorough research bfor u come to d public wit ur plans. God bless you.

for the rice milling machine, you can get a machine that removes d husks and polish d rice frm 1.4million naira for a capacity of 2tons/hr in kaduna but for a smaller capacity, its cheaper
