So when we got to Ikoyi port office yesterday, we went straight to the servicom unit. I went with my husband and baby (they both just applied for the first time). We were directed to an office for documents checkv. We met a lady who requested to see the payment receipts from our bank or the debit alert.

1. The documents I submitted for change of name were:
a) Printed application form
b) Payment receipt
c) Appointment slip
d) Change of name form (they gave me a copy, asked me to make my copy and return theirs)
e) Applicant verification form (they gave me a copy, asked me to make my copy and return theirs)

After checking our documents, she signed on them and directed us to another office where a file was opened for my husband and baby. They (husband and baby) took their files and went in for capturing.

I was directed to a different office where a file was opened for me and signed. My file was given to me and I was directed to an office for my capturing. It took less than 15 minutes for me to capture.

My husband and baby's capturing took about 40 minutes and we were done.

The process was seamless.

In your SOP, provide a detailed financial analysis stating the cost of rent and living expenses for your intended city (links and snapshots from credible sources recommended) and ensure you have a couple of thousand left after analyzing the cost of your education. Showing you have researched and know your actual cost can tilt things in your favour.

In such a situation, a VO may look at other aspects of your application to decide. For instance, answers to questions like this could be a deciding factor. What are the job prospects after completing the program? Is it worth your life-saving? Do you have strong ties in Nigeria? landed properties? Was the funds from your savings, gift deed or sale of property? The VO can look at your application as a whole to make a decision. So, a well-written SoP is key.

The gasket has been changed twice. The second mechanic that changed the gasket claims the first gasket was fake. He removed the radiator to wash with warm water and fuel, yet the issue still persist. If the engine is bad, shouldn't the indication sign blink on the dashboard? There is no sign on the dashboard and the car has stopped overheating. The only problem is engine oil getting short and oil inside the radiator. The temperature sign does not get to the tank logo.

These are the pictures taken this morning. Because of the continuous oil leakage, I decided to use black oil to test the vehicle. The oil was at its full gauge as at last week Monday. Please advice on what to do.

I was refused a visa on 2 grounds. First is the generic refusal of not been consistent with a temporary stay given the details provided in the application while the second reason is that I submitted a documentation that lacks authenticity. I applied for my GCMS note and it states that i did not disclose my previous refusals which I totally forgot to include in my application.

I intend reapplying and I need help with a template on how to explain these refusals. I've tried writing out something but the English isn't Englishing . I'd really appreciate it if someone with similar refusal and has gotten PPR could kindly share their LOE with me.

Alternatively, I won't mind if someone could kindly help me review the SOP used in the previous application to suit the refusal reasons. Kindly indicate please and I'll reach out. Thank you.

So sorry about your refusal. I understand how you feel. The refusal letter has explained why your visa was refused and i believe it is because of the recent increase in the exchange rate which might affect a lot of people. Try to add to your available funds and re-apply when your application seems stronger.

I was also refused last week. They said i submitted a document that lacks authenticity. I applied myself and was so sure of all my documents. I still can't pick which document lacks authenticity. I've requested for my GCMS note. Hopefully, they state which document i need to address. It is well.

1. Is it advisable to apply for a study visa for myself and an open work permit for my spouse at the same time or I apply alone first.
2. POF which we both intend using is in my bank and I'm sponsoring myself. Won't the consular question my husbands contribution in the whole process?
3. I was playing around the form IMM1294 to get acquainted with the student visa application form. In the column for funds available for my stay in Canada, do I write the total liquid cash in my bank currently or the total sum of the liquid cash and tuition deposit already paid?

Well, I used the phone with the ink stain for more than 3 months and it didn’t spread. Consulted phone technicians and they confirmed same. No harm in changing the screen but what’s the essence of changing a good screen with little ink to something of less quality. My thoughts though. If I see an interested buyer and the person still insist I change the screen, I’ll go ahead.

It’s just my policy to tell the truth to whoever will use the phone after me.

I recently did a review search on comments made about the school and what i read isn't that pleasing especially when it comes to issuing CAS. Also, WAEC result is only accepted if its not over 7 years. Mine is more than 10years which means taking the test remains an option if i'm going with the school.

I got a conditional offer from the university of law business school for January 2023 and the condition states that i provide a result that shows my English proficiency. Either IELTS or I take their in-house English test.

I have English as a medium attestation letter from my undergrad school and i intend attaching it to my waec result. Is this enough to waive the Ielts result that's required? I am not ready to write an English test.

Is there anyone who also received an offer from the school with same condition? How did you go about it please? I have an international bursary of 3000 to be deducted from the tuition if all conditions are met. Someone please help a sister out. Thank you

Also, I have a valid UK visitors visa, do you think it will be of in my application after I change to F1? Will I need to fill another DS 160 for the F1 visa?

Omo! A lot of applications for and from you, for only USA. God when?! Lol.

Nice one. The best bet is going with F1 visa, because others are not really sure. Let’s put it in a way that you go for the visit and/or the invitation visa and you probably did not get it, now you would be left to settle for the F1. Meanwhile the records of those two would be in your profile already and during the F1 it might be against you, the VO would be like this one is desperate to enter USA, that he’s tried this and that; now coming for F1 to try again.

All story short, settle going with F1, CALL / EMAIL the embassy’s system, they would easily change your cgi profile to F1 for you. It’s not something biggie, IF you paid 67,200 for the other profile (visit / invitation) because F1 is 67,200, IF NOT you would have to pay a new visa fee after they switch your profile for you.

Good you already have a date in May sef.

I also applied to schools in US. Luckily, I was offered ission in ASU for Fall 2022. (Any ASU student here, please let’s connect�)

My question is, should I proceed with the US visitors visa appointment in Nigeria, travel to US and change to a student Visa or Send a mail to the embassy to change my visa type to F1 for the same appointment date?

Kindly advice because my port detail is already in the embassy’s record for an appointment and I doubt if I can apply for a student visa while still awaiting my appointment for a visitors visa.
