Happy new year!

Do you know in the US, women at home make as much as $400 per week taking care of toddlers and kids? This is not yet popular here but will soon be as more women are integrated into the work-force and have little time to care for their kids. Already, in places like Lagos, people are making a fortune taking care of kids in the day time (averagely N20,000 per child per month).

I want to give 10 women that opportunity to make money starting their private daycare from home. I will teach you what you need (setting up space, how to get a license and documents), how to get your customers, and finally provide you with curriculum to use and how to use it.

This is a rare opportunity and you should take advantage of it this new year, 2020. I could have made this training free but then you will not value it, so we have to put a price. People value what they pay for and in that way, you will ensure that you are serious and you make money.

This class will be a one month class on WhatsApp. After teaching, depending on your readiness, you will begin and I will monitor your progress.
You will make more money than you thought this new year.

The price for this class is N3000.

What is the most amount of money you have made on a freelance platform?
Parmzhelp: 7:44am On Dec 29, 2019
Upwork is the best for now because people who have jobs and then you send in your proposals. I used to get writing jobs from Upwork and then outsource it on Scribesbay. Because of that, I could handle a lot of orders. Still do that till now and its so smooth sometimes I feel like a genius. I also did some graphics which I outsource on a one on one bases too.. (graphics are more delicate)

Speak2klein:
Sites you can start your freelancing journey

- Upwork
- Fiverr
- Freelancer
- Toptal
- Zemandi
- Scribesbay
- Guru
- PeoplePerHour

And many more. However, they each all their varying degree of difficulty in getting jobs. The easier ones seem to be Scribesbay and zemandi (both writing platforms).

Meanwhile see this photo below? What do you think?

Hello Ladies,

For a couple of months, I have been teaching women who are at home and who don't have jobs yet that there are several opportunities to make money right there without spending a lot. Of course, it's not easier than working outside but it's much more convenient and its success totally depends on you.

In the US, women make as much as $400 per week just running a daycare from their apartments. People are getting busier especially if you live in a city and so this will become mainstream in a very short time. You don't need much to start, just a decent place and the willingness to learn.

I want to give 20 women the opportunity to start a daycare right from home. I will teach the steps to get their first kids, how to set up space in their apartments, setup documents (including istrative, management and policy doc for parents). Furthermore, I will provide them with a curriculum they can use.

This class is the first set on Whatsapp (I have had live programmes with several beneficiaries) and so I'd be doing it for free first. Take advantage of this now.

If you're interested, send me "interested"
P.S I'm putting my WhatsApp number to protect yours. Unnecessary messages will be blocked.

True! It will encourage the others to learn faster and improve.

I feel like at the end of the day, freelancing makes you better. Because you will have no choice but to improve yourself so you remain relevant in the market place. In traditional jobs, there's security, little room to expand skills.

So Nigeria has a major drawback when it comes to freelancing and that is payment from international clients. It's so tough. Paypal would have been the best option but we are banned from receiving payments here. What do we do biko?

OP nice post.. my problem with Nigerian freelancers is greed. Imagine your fellow colleague on Fiverr with more orders than he can handle, he won't want to outsource some to you. He would rather stress himself to do everything just to keep the whole cash. If he even tries to outsource to you, it's usually at a ridiculous price. Nigerian freelancers no dey try at all..

NAP TIME TIPS FOR PRESCHOOL TEACHERS

Consistency. Make nap time at the same time and in the same place every day. Avoid temporary changes in routine as much as possible.

Use napping rituals. Especially if your toddler attends daycare, napping in new or different locations can sometimes be challenging. Consider enlisting a favourite stuffed animal, a special napping blanket, or another comfort item that your toddler can take to wherever nap time may be.

When your toddler refuses to sleep, make sure that he or she still gets quiet time. Lay your child down quietly in a dark room. Consider reading a story to him or her, or playing soft music. Even if your toddler doesn’t fall asleep, he or she can still get some rest.

Know how much sleep time your child really needs. Most toddlers need a maximum of 12 hours of sleep, a number that starts to diminish to 11 hours between 3 to 5 years old. Usually, around 18 months old, children can begin to consolidate their nap time and go from two naps a day to one. As they get older, their need for nap time begins to decrease because they are able to get all the sleep that they need at night.

I don't personally think kids under age 13 should have any form of make-up. Their skin is still tender and fresh, so I don't know exactly what mums try to achieve with making up their kids when they're so young.

Anyway, I'd like to hear your thoughts on this, especially mums.

Reasons You Should Not Pacify Children Always

Pacifying children can come in different ways and form. Children can be given their best toys or gadget or given the freedom to go to the playground. They may not be grounded when they err. They could also be entirely ignored or pretend they are uninteresting. However, children will always be children. They still want to get the attention of their parents. They want to make sure that you meet their immediate need. However, it is, they don't care. You should fix them up.

The effects of pacifying children.

Uncontrolled emotions and emotional imbalance
Eye problem as a result of games as pacifying tools
Migraine and a consequence of playing pacifying devices
Continued nagging
Spoilt and mannerless

Pacifying children when they err is not only detrimental to their upbringing, it also affects their general well-being and the society at large. When a child always gets a video game to play or his best toys to play with, he tends to make sure he continues with such habits because he always knows he's going to get a positive result show of drama.

For example, if it's routine for a child to takes his plate to the sink after eating, the child should know what to do after every meal. Pacifying a child for not taking his bowl to the kitchen after eating by giving him dessert to enjoy is not helping the child at all.
Parents should learn how to ignore the child by not giving extreme attention to the child. Setting up counter tantrum that will make the child confused and thereby takes his mind off from where he's drawing energy to throw a tantrum.

When a child refuses to eat, especially when the child is not feeling too well, what a parent needs to do is to set up a means that could be like maybe a phrase that says, "Josh, if you don't eat your food the Japanese children are coming to eat it" by so doing, anytime the child hears this chants, he will always want to eat his food up without been persuaded.

If a child always gets what he wants at all times, it will affect him a lot as he grows up. He will be docile and weak, still in need of people to do things for them.

Giving your child video game or phone because you want him to stop crying is not going g to help the child because the child will always look forward to crying since he knows that he's going to get your phone or a game console real soon. This singular act can lead to emotional trauma. The child can no longer be able to solve his problems.
When a child refuses to stop crying as a result of his bad attitude, the mother should not pacify the child. She should instead mimic the child consonant way of crying to counter his immediate actions. If he knows that it isn't funny, he will stop crying by all means.

I agree.. too much activity sometimes exhausts kids.. so you creatively balance wok and play for them. It's however important to note that play actually helps them develop social intelligence, cognition and kinetics so don't get them off play for too long.

Children often seem to lose interest in school. They may find the work boring or too hard, or they might have more severe problems, such as bullying. Usually, the reason is less dramatic – after all, children are not yet grown up, and they have shorter attention spans than us adults.

Each child is different, and there may be a variety of reasons why their schoolwork suffers. Here are a few of the most common causes to look out for:

Lack of sleep – It’s well known that not enough sleep is terrible for us all, and especially for children. One study found that just one hour of sleep deprivation every night can lower youngsters’ IQs. Make sure that your child has sufficient sleep (11 hours for a 5-year-old and 9 for a teenager is a rough guide)

Poor diet – We are what we eat! Children need the right nutrients for growth and brain development. Make sure that your child has a balanced diet and don’t forget exercise – you may be surprised, but physical activity increases blood flow to the brain and helps to keep it functioning well

Boredom – This can be a problem for children who are not being challenged enough by the work they are given in class

Work too difficult – Just as some children are set to work which they find too easy, others are given tasks beyond their current level

Learning difficulties – A good proportion of children have undiagnosed learning difficulties, like autism, ADHD or dyslexia
Other issues – There may be problems at school (such as bullying or social exclusion), ones at home (bereavement or divorce) or mental issues (like depression or anxiety)

Laziness – This is perhaps the most common reason why children fall behind but, thankfully, it’s also the easiest to tackle.

I hope this helped.

Child Development Milestones Parents Should Know

Child development milestones are physical skills and cognitive abilities, and a child develops as they grow. Skills such as crawling, walking, an intentional first smile, and talking are considered as milestones; these milestones differ for different age ranges. Development milestones build gradually from simple skills and tasks to more complex ones. They are grouped into four (4) categories, which are:

1.Physical milestones: These milestones are the ones used to test and refine the fine motor skills and large motor skills. The large motor skills are, crawling, sitting up, standing, and walking. These motor skills are usually developed before fine motor skills. Fine motor skills are the skills that involve the use of the fingers to grasp and pick up small objects.

2.Cognitive milestones: This has to do with the child's ability to solve simple problems, learn, and think. A child who has mastered the alphabet has used his/her cognitive skills. Equally, a child who has learned to understand his/her parent's facial expression.

3.Social and emotional milestones: This aspect has to do with the way kids interact and play with others.

4.Language milestones: This involves all modes of communication a child develops through. From when the child communicated non-verbally to when the child starts to speak intelligible words to learning the rules of the English language and more.

Development is not growth; growth has to do with the height and weight, while development has to do with skills and mental abilities. Kids develop at different speeds, and there are different age ranges for the achievement of these developmental milestones. However, parents and guardians should take note of their kids and wards development and watch out for signs. These milestones are reached at different points by different kids, but if your child has ed a landmark and isn't developing, consult your pediatrician.
Here are some milestones that your child should have achieved by the age of 12 months:

Movement Milestones
Sits without help
Crawls on belly using arms and knees for propulsion
Can sit and lie down on his/her own
Walks with
Stands briefly without

Milestones in Hand and Finger Skills
Uses strong grip
Learns to use two objects to create noise
Grasps and leaves objects voluntarily

Language Milestones
listens to speech more
Replies simple verbal requests
Nods head in response to a yes or no
Tries to imitate words

Cognitive Milestones
Explores objects by working on different things with them
Finds hidden objects easily
Imitates gestures
Begins to make use of objects correctly

Social and Emotional Milestones
Shy with strangers
Enjoys imitating people
Tests parental responses to his actions during feedings
Starts to understand that he can get what he wants when he cries, plus some attention too
May show fear in some situations
Prefers a close family member to other people
Extends arm or leg to help when being dressed

With knowledge of the above, if you see any slow developmental stage in your child, and you think the development is delayed for the child’s age, consult your paediatrician.

Children love playing with toys. Whether you buy a toy for your child or not, they have a way of improvising with objects such as stones, sticks, home appliances, etc. They do so to engage their little minds.
However, educational toys are different from every other kind of toys that you buy for your child, or that he creates by himself.

What Are Educational Toys?

Educational toys are toys specifically designed to aid learning in children. They are designed to teach a particular skill. There are educational toys for different purposes. These toys improve motor skills, mental and emotional alertness.

Some educational toys are like models, the smaller version of things adults use. Children love to play with certain things that adults use and would want to have it. Instead of giving them adult objects, educational toys are made for them so that they can benefit from its use.

The Importance of Educational Toys to Children

1. It Teaches Social Skills: When children play with toys together, they learn to interact with one another. In the process of using these toys together in school or at home, they learn teamwork.

2. Makes Learning Easier, And Fun: Educational toys help children think faster. This helps them grasp what they are naturally.
Also, it makes learning fun and helps them stay focused for a longer time. It helps to eliminate the boredom associated with learning certain subjects.

3. Improves Problem Solving Skills: Educational toys such as puzzles help children learn problem-solving skills and think faster.

4. Builds Real-Life Skills: Children learn how to dress up and take care of themselves by using dolls. They learn how to save money through piggy banks, and how to shop through toy grocery stores

5. Develops Motor Skills: As children play with toys, they learn to move their significant parts of their body, such as hands, legs, etc.

6. Improves Language Skills: Interacting with one another while playing with toys improves children's ability to speak clearly and loudly. They also learn how to express their feelings.

Some Examples of Educational Toys:

1. Stuffed Toys: An example of this is a teddy bear. Stuffed toys are toys dressed in animal forms. Some make animal sounds. Children can learn how to identify different types of animals and their sounds by using these toys.
Stuffed toys can be used by children from nine months of age and above.

2. Puzzles: These toys improve problem-solving skills and logical reasoning. They can be used by children from 18 months of age and above.

3. Dolls: These are toys in human form. Children learn how to dress up by using these toys. They can be used by children from nine months of age and above.

One should be careful of toys that children use to play. Toys with tiny parts can be swallowed easily. Take caution when you give them these toys to play. Be cautious of what these toys are made of because children put toys in their mouth while playing.
