This is a very big issue with oppo I sold my previous oppo just because of this same issue. Try ing WhatsApp APK outside playstore. Or if you have another android phone, install an APK extractor from Play Store then extract WhatsApp APK using the APK extractor, after which you share the WhatsApp APK file with your Oppo phone and install. This helped me then, but not a permanent fix.

I tried it but when installing it in the Oppo, I got the message "There was a problem of parsing the package"
