I want to ask how long did your visitors visa application takes before it was requested for stamping because my application is 10weeks but yet haven’t recieve any message for return of my port

Mine was a study visa nd it took 5months plus, eventually came out with an error. I returned it through vfs Lagos, weeks ed by and no response, had to follow up directly with d embassy only to discover they didn't submit my port. If u resides in the south or West nd u want swift response nd u have money to spend, I'll suggest you submit to vfs abuja, they deliver documents to the embassy every day, that I witnessed.

How many days doesn't it take for port to be returned after it has been requested for stamping...

It shouldn't be more than 2weeks. However, if VFS fails to deliver ur port to the embassy on time, it could take month, such was the case for me.

I applied for my visa since September and till now it’s still under processing.It’s a visitors visa section11.1(b)(iv)visa exceeding 3months (3 years visa).This is the type of visa issued to models.I have Being living in South Africa for years now and I normally come to Nigeria to apply for it,in the past years it took only 10working days but now it’s been 5months and it’s so frustrating and annoying being stuck in Nigeria cos my life is back in South Africa and am still paying bills (my rent &all) while am stuck here cos I thought I will only be in Nigeria for few weeks.I and my modeling agency have sent emails to the SA embassy in Abuja but no reply.Worst of it all is that they have my port since September,I have fall in and out of depression.Please someone advise me on what to do please.Thank you

This might be true coz a friend of mine said his supervisor keeps ing him coz every other supervisees from other country had resumed except for him; a Nigerian

It’s only Nigerians they have this delay with and it is very sad. Those medical insurance people said it’s only Nigerian Nationals that haven’t resumed school for this new session that they don’t know why the embassy is making it too difficult for them to come. It’s very very sad. It’s not 100 percent their fault because if Foreign Affair of Nigeria dey work, we won’t have to go through this bad treatment. Imagine from September till now no one have been issued study visa from Abuja? This is a deliberate action. If you call them now, they will say backlog. Backlog from where exactly? They are having backlog but are still collecting nothing less than 120 applications in a day both VFS Lagos & Abuja.

If that's the case, I'll suggest each and everyone of us Foreign Affairs Ministry and table the issue. The issue now is how do we them

They know what they are doing. Backlog and they are giving tourist visas. People that applied in january for tourist have started getting calls to return their port for stamping. People that have submitted since July for study are still waiting. Is it not in September they asked them to start processing visas after the centralization at Pretoria?? No how no how people who applied September should have received a decision no matter how they want to their documents. The only people that can save us now is Foreign Affairs Ministry.

There was an earlier post on this platform about an academic research visa applicant who applied in Jan 2022 and got denied, I think this month - that’s 1 year waiting period. One can at least stomach the long wait if a positive outcome is certain but that’s unfortunately not the case.

Everyone that has been waiting, hang in there. SA embassy/DHA has been like this for many years. Sometimes, the process improves when they have cleared the backlog but, then another backlog occurs and back to the same problem. We really need the Nigerian government to speak out! Kenya and SA recently signed an agreement allowing Kenyans to visit SA without visa for 90 days. It’s like our Nigerian port has completely lost its value due to the incompetence of our leaders. It is well.

Goto your intial school, For those that dont know the meaning/use/content of testimonial, it's a certificate which shows your records i.e the year you started schooling ( in that school ) , the year you finish , your conduct , activities , character etc.. Pardon me aint really good @ explaininq finza
