Can't find this commet to quote it directly but... kai.... where do I start concerning the bolded? I think this is worth sharing.
Union Bank is gradually hitting her mark and in next 2 years may likely be Nigeria's leading Bank.
If you are still in doubt, Kindly visit any of her branches and experience the transformation currently going on in the bank.

Union Bank recently won the award for ‘Best Brand Development To Reflect Changed Mission / Vision / Positioning’ beating Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Bank Al Bilad, Bahrain Finance Company, Commercial Bank of Dubai, Industry Gulf Finance and VOX, and ‘Best Visual Identity From The Financial Services Sector’ beating Bank ABC, ADCB, Commercial Bank of Dubai, Industry Gulf Finance and MAF Finance.

I say big Congratulations to Union Bank on this achievement, and wish them many more to come.

Ha, ha... women can be dangerous.

I years back in school, a girl who was friends and neighbor with an older school colleagues girlfriend decided to show me a peculiar kind of wickedness.

My friend and his girlfriend always made the key to their room available for me when not in town and I often stayed there just to change space.

This one night her friend whom I'm very friendly with knocked on the door that she wanted to come in and pen a letter since that room had a table and chair or is it fan... something ridiculous.

Toh, I let her in oh, she sat for upwards 40 minutes writing while I continued with my creative task. It did occur to me that she may have wanted something but even at the peak of my needless playfulness, restraint was and is one thing I always pride myself with... or is it in. I fear to sh*t for shoosh.

Anyway, na so her sister come town to resume as a fresher at another institution weeks later, we met and we dated albeit briefly.

The slander this girl peddled against is something I still find scary til this day just because I overlooked her. In fact, I had to go see her at her then boyfriend's guest house - a rich niccur who was once the wiz kid of taxation in Nigeria - to beg her. She denied any complicity but her sister told me that she got into trouble for dating me and that she was planning on making her life (and mine) unbearable.

The worse thing was that she unfortunately was friends with my main chick's best friend. One day, I went to see my girl friend and all three plus another unknown were present. I was first shocked but later relaxed believing all was well only for me to take my leave and as I was stepping out she voiced: "Eh hen, when last did you see d**i?"...

The rest is best imagined!

Something is fishy here. You mean they used AK47 riffle to go rob these few naira notes? Why police dey lie like this? Last time I checked, na police dey tie magazines together like this

Those are not AK's and anyone from guerrilla fighters to police tape mags together; it's for efficient exchange when one 'cartridge' is spent.

All I see in ur post are ignorance... what mac will do hp or acer will do beta, whereas, they are not even a studio priority. Go and learn pls. The most valuable studio equipment is the ears. Yes, ears of the engineers and producers. Followed by a HD sound card. Peace.

I have worked in (and built from the ground up) standard class studios... it's not by studio, true.

Bruh, na you put yourself for work with the active word 'standard' and then putting up that picture. Save for those, your original post would've been strategically fine and the quoted would be (near) excellent.

I do a great deal of work also from my notebook, my tools and my ears from my bedroom when it suits me and I pay bills that way; it's not all the time I feel like working in my 'standard' place.

No hating.

Please I need lots of info from u guys...I'm a music producer, and recently awarded a contract for a live music production of which I ve not done before...please I need informatiom regarding the type of soundcard, Computer system, Mixer and other logistics that I can use to achieve a good sound and music...thanks

Are you like going to record a band/sessionsmen? You need a major setup for that if it will all be tracked real-time but if you are doing overdubs, its appreciably easier.

Please specify and/or expatiate but generally, you'll require a trully solid computer in the range of an Core I7... for PC or a Mac. Any DAW from Pro Tools to Cubase, Logic or Studio One will do with a soundcard that comes with many I/Os i.e. Avid HD, Presonus 192, MOTU 24I/O... most especially if you are tracking drums realtime... For your bass/guitars (and voice if you like), preamps will go along way in giving a well rounded sound for mixing.

Let's know better details sha.

How? I can't say for sure but it is important to keep keeping at it.

Training and truly understanding the rudiments of vocal dynamics will help one in discovering one's true voice and style. Of course, we have those who don't even have 'vocal talent' to their voice that are out there but in the international scene, it is mostly those with that have found that unique factor that are truly remarkable and ed.

R. Kelly possesses a sweet and sonorous voice but hardly pitches or goes beyond a particular scale; he is revered as one of the greats (of the newer age anyway). Anita Baker was a victim of several rejections specifically for her deep male like voice... today , we know where she is placed in the Hall of Fame.

Not everyone will be an Aretha Franklin... you can be a Louis Armstrong.

I will not even read the post - the tile is enough - for me to comment. I'm less concerned about NIPOST for now.

We have become a lazy people with the advent of Social Media and SMS. Don't get me wrong, it is a good development to have these social tools as it has greatly advanced reach and it is a true factor of the Jet Age.

However, nobody reads or writes well anymore. People just can't be bothered! Imagine 'text speak' when writing a letter or an application. You think the recent screen grabs of Corpers' blunders on their youth service completion are funny? They are but a sad reality of where we are headed.

Sometime 2011, I was at my then office's canteen and overheard a conversation between two girls. They were both in agreement that the internet is just for Facebook! The more educated one who was an undergrad at one of those glorified state universities couldn't fathom what else the net was useful for.

Imagine if I had the access to the internet I have now, then, that would have been a blast! Project work would have been well aided and a lot of things one had to go all out to get information about would have been easier. Now, these so called FB girls can't even use the FB optimally either as a (responsible) networking or communication tool.

I mean, what is 'monin', 'tomao'... it is (grudgingly) understandable if you are trying to cut SMS count/cost or in an emergency but not to be used perpetually. What am I saying? It is not even acceptable... what happened to abbreviations like using only consonants i.e. 'tmrrw' or '2mrrw'; 'ltr' (not to be confused with liter) or 'l8r'...

Then, we used to write. Even to woo and impress a girl, you'd need to take a lesson in writing or contract it to someone.

Some will say English is not our mother tongue, I agree. But even the so-called mother tongue, can anyone really communicate well with it? How many can write a letter in Yoruba for instance with all the attendant markings well placed?

On another thread you asked for good producers and you are yet to do the needful. Please forget the guy that is talking spread legs - he was prolly joking.

Music business in Nigeria is near kalo kalo. Not that it doesn't return the investment, but it seldom does in the general. A lot (not all) of what you are seeing being successful is either of 2 things:

Talent + 'good' branding + wherewithal to spend stupendous amounts to propagate the music = attention, appreciation and returns via digital sales (ringtones and CBRTs), appearances and shows and in select cases endorsement

And the second,

Near talent + average - if any - branding + some wherewithal + God's grace (same also in the first) = attention, appreciation and returns via digital sales (ringtones and CBRTs), appearances and shows and in select cases endorsement

A third scenario is where there is nothing to write home about but the money behind the act is a massive war chest and these are the ones that are everywhere but nowhere and two outcomes await them, to fizzle out or with concerted effort and spending, gain acceptance and success.

Let me not bore you...

Madam, at least post a sample of your music for now... or for those that are interested, let them provide an email in case you don't want it in public domain at all

Ha, ha... there's nothing HTC in those chargers from Abokis o. Bought one with HTC emblazoned on it and he was like this is original because he wanted to do the right thing... I rest my case...

I suspect SLOT in the first Blackberry I bought from their Unilag branch. The engineer kept saying it was necessary to install this and that and promptly set the new phone on his table away from my view... The battery was basically dead from day 1.

The BB Z3 I bought last year is fine but their engineer at a different branch, also insisting the need for some updates et al didn't get to do anything as I refused. It's working fine. I did all the updates, antivirus blah, blah, blah myself.
