When will you call for the resignation of all those thieves in NDDC? you conveniently didn't call out any of your Niger delta brothers .
SHAME ON YOU TIMI....
SHAME ON ALL THE NIGER DELTA MILLITANTS FOR KEEPING QUIET ABOUT THE MESS IN NDDC......
not surprised, the PDP you represent has told you it's only buhari and his people that are corrupt and no Christian southerner is corrupt and any southerners accused of corruption is only being persecuted.
Sh
Useless timi
I knew it won't be long before they twist it to PDP vs APC, so that people can be diverted from the real matter grin

Where are all those bloody hypocrites that called Asari all kinds of unprintable horrible names in this thread below?

https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com/6017132/asari-dokubo-81-billion-theft

As usual they will run and avoid this thread that exposes the corruption of their master. 20 minutes after, this thread is still on Page 1, but they rush to comment on threads that suit their propagandas, deception and fake anti-corruption narratives

It's funny how these funds are been misappropriated under the current istration and nobody is doing anything about it

embarassed embarassed embarassed

I feel very pained each time I hear how our Commonwealth are been shared by this political Bandits, and we just here spilling all the gibberish we know including the one I'm doing right now.

If only my blood alone was enough to Savage Nigeria, I would do it without a second thought.

48 million BCO = about $$$ 2 billion = N 1 trillion (approx) grin

N1 trillion minus 82 billion = 918 billion naira (approx)

Can you see Asari was "correct" when he said that the 82 billion stolen by NDDC Niger-delta indigenes was mere pickpocket stealing chicken change compared to the monumental looting of the common wealth of this country by the biggest thieves at the centre. But we are NOT supposed to talk about those thieves, we are supposed to look away and pretend they are saints and worship them as real "anti-corruption" crusaders grin

grin Before some people turn this into a PDP vs APC matter, i just want to mention that the 48 million barrels of oil was stolen in 2015 grin

Please who was the president of Nigeria in 2015?
Who was the Minister of Petroleum in 2015?

"Mr. Integrity" grin

This is July 2020, that is to say about 5 years later, NO PROBE, NO ARRESTS, NO INDICTMENTS, NO JAIL SENTENCES.......NOTHING!!! Crickets, crickets, crickets!!! grin

Ok, those fake Buhari "anti-corruption" keyboard fighters can come and defend their master now. Let's hear another round of lies and deceit. And if they can't do that, they go mute and jump on other threads as thuggish anti-corruption warriors when it suits their narratives grin

National Conditional Cash Transfer Office (NICTO) under the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development spent N124.4 billion on School Feeding programme in 2020. The HOReps expressed "outrage", said they will probe it. But till today......... "crickets" grin another audio outrage, another audio probe

The National Home Grown School Feeding Programme claims that a total of 9,963,726 pupils were fed in 54,942 schools across the country. Wawuuuuuuuu grin

Nigeria exports $81.48bn electricity on credit as country’s blackout persists. Three neighbouring countries bought a total amount of electricity worth $81.48bn from Nigeria in the last two years, even as many households and businesses in the country continued to suffer blackout"

https://punchng.com/nigeria-exports-81-48bn-electricity-on-credit-as-countrys-blackout-persists/

In 2018 and 2019 3 countries: Togo, Niger and Benin got electricity worth about N37 trillion on credit (trillion oh, THIRRY SEVEN TRILLION, let that sink in well) grin. But Nigerians barely have power supply in Nigeria. Black out everywhere. Wawuuuuuuuu grin, didn't know Nigeria is now a Father Christmas grin. I wonder how much billions dollars worth of electricity they will get without paying 1 Kobo by the end of 2020. Yet they are demanding Nigerian landlords and property agents to start squeezing govt 6% stamp duty tax from their tenants, while the FG does free giveaway across West Africa....This is the real Big Brother Nigeria show grin

Where is the probe? Ummmm........ crickets, and more crickets grin

Crude oil theft: Firm demands 5% whistleblower compensation from FG

https://tribuneonlineng.com/crude-oil-theft-firm-demands-5-whistleblower-compensation-from-fg/

"A gripping expose of how officials of the national oil company, NNPC, undermined the nation’s economy and stole 48 million barrels of crude oil belonging to the Nigerian government in 2015 is now the subject of a whistle blower’s tango with the government over the unpaid five percent whistle blower compensation. The whistle blower, Samano Sa De CV, an oil trading firm, had alerted the government to the illegal diversion and sale of the 48 million barrels of Nigeria’s crude oil back then. However said despite its effort and an unwritten agreement with some government officials that it would be paid the whistle blower compensation of five compensation, no action had been taken since then."

https://www.businessamlive.com/how-nnpc-officials-contributed-to-the-economic-adversity-of-nigeria-by-stealing-2bn-rude-oil-firm/

Emmmm, if I recall correctly, Buhari came into power 29 May 2014, right? And this theft occured in 2015 and Buhari is the minister of Petroleum, right? grin Please help me check it well oh, in case I mix things up. Are these facts or beer parlor stories where alcohol is talking nonsense again? Please this for me thanks. And for those who might be doubting if it is possible to steal 48 million bco, well let me chip in another FACT. Nigeria exports an estimated 2.2 million body, now multiply that by 365 days, or if you like, use even 300 days and let's donate 65 days to charity. I never knew Maths can be this fun grin

"PRODUCTION
With a maximum crude oil production capacity of 2.5 million barrels per day, Nigeria ranks has Africa's largest producer of oil and the sixth largest oil producing country in the world. Nigeria appears to have a greater potential for gas than oil. Nigeria's gas production in the year 2000 was approximately 1,681.66 billion scf, 1,3715 billion scf was associated gas and the rest 310.16 billion was non associated gas."
https://nnpcgroup.com/NNPC-Business/Upstream-Ventures/Pages/Oil-Production.aspx

Meanwhile as you are ing, I want to remind you that this is July 2020, did any probe happen on this till now, has anybody been indicted and jailed, was NNPC scrapped? Where is the outrage............... crickets, crickets, crickets grin

FG conditional cash transfer as palliative for COVID-19. 428,941 Nigerians got cash in 24 states, 130,455 from Katsina – Buhari’s Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development

https://m.guardian.ng/news/nigeria-government-begins-distribution-of-n20000-relief-fund-to-homes/
https://dailypost.ng/2020/04/19/428941-nigerians-got-cash-in-24-states-130455-from-katsina-buharis-minister-farouq/

"[Governor Seyi] Makinde: I’m not impressed with FG’s conditional cash transfer… how do they identify the poor?" Shouldn't this win the Best Question of the Yearn Award grin? Or wait, I think there is yet another better question: how did they mobilize distribution of RAW CASH to 428,941 Nigerians in "24 different states" in less than a month grin? In their own words, “As at April 17th, 2020, a total of 428,941 beneficiaries have benefited from the Conditional Cash Transfer in 24 states, with 130,455 of them from Katsina State”, the statement read." How? Just how? The same FG that takes forever years to prepare to conduct federal elections and still has to postpone? The same FG that has not been able to distribute voters ID cards to citizens and hundreds of thousands of voters ID cards are lying fallow in some dark room somewhere UNCOLLECTED? Kikikikiki grin, wawuuuu. A serving Governor said he is not impressed with the way the funds were paid out. I'm pretty sure he's not the only one that thinks this way, that wants ability on the disbursement. We all do. But where is the probe?? Crickets again, and again and again grin Oh BTW, 428,941 x N20,000 = N8.6 billion approx.

https://www.thecable.ng/makinde-im-not-impressed-with-fgs-conditional-cash-transfer-how-do-they-identify-the-poor/amp

And we haven't even looked at the "SCAMDEMIC" spending so far grin. And there are other things too but I'm tired of typing, my fingers dey ache laidis. I'm not forcing anyone to or object, that's your choice. My aim is to state the facts and let the audience decide whether or not these things are not worth the slightest outrage and action for probe and indictment. Or maybe they should stay covered below the carpet they have been swept under and everyone maintains the status quo and hush up about it. I guess for some people on the Asari thread, this is how things should be. Let's probe, indict and recommend the NDDC be scrapped while the biggest thieves in Abuja are the sacred untouchables that nobody must call into ability.

grin Another new tactics to silence opposition? grin Abeg who the Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park protests that year spearheaded by the same APC in power today against Jonathan govt? If GEJ did half of what these guys are doing they won't be in power today. I don't blame them at all. They saw an excellent opportunity and took it. They saw a man whose nobleness was his weakness, and a man whose belief in strengthening democratic processes was his Archilles heel, a man who respected the freedom of opposition to play their opposition role even though it would cost him his seat of power. GEJ was "weak" and they capitalized on it to the full. I guess freedom of speech and expression and freedom to peacefully protest against terrible governance only works when APC are the ones in opposition. God dey, 2023 is not far again grin May God keep us alive and healthy till then smiley

If he is good at his job and is ready to serve Nigeria with his heart I don't see any big deal in it. After all we celebrate Nigerians holding positions in other countries
Nigerians in diaspora who are holding govt positions in foreign countries are holding positions based on MERIT of their exceptional qualifications, skills and long-term service and commitment at their career field.......OR holding positions because they CONTESTED in elections and were voted in by the citizens of those countries. Not holding positions as a govt favor to their cronies, nepotism or political appointment rewards for being the errand boys of the crooks in power. BIG DIFFERENCE

Nonsense analogy.

Are the leaders the sons while the followers the fathers?

Is there any way you could equate #200 to #40 billion naira?

1.Rather a father that receives 1 million naira to cater for his own children but decides to squander the money is worse than an uncle that receives 10 million naira to cater for his nephews but squanders the money.

2. Also a Niger Delta governor that steals 50 billion naira meant for his own Niger Delta people is worse that a Federal Government that steals 500 billion meant for Niger Delta people.
wow, so nice. Please explain more. Write a book on it that a FG that stole N500 billion from the Niger-delta people is better than a Niger-delta governor that stole N50 billion from the Niger-delta people. I'm sure it will be a New York Times Bestseller anti-corruption book grin

$1.52 billion USD = N552 billion naira
N552 billion - N90 billion NDDC = N462 billion

Yet some FAKE keyboard anti-corruption crusaders on Nairaland want NDDC to be thoroughly dealt with BUT we should ignore and forget about the biggest thieves in this country. The biggest thieves in this country are not in the Niger-delta. The biggest thieves are in Abuja. Anti-corruption is not for eggs alone. The chicken laying the eggs must be hanged too

It's in naira not dollar, d ops definitely made a mistake.
Even if it is naira, is N81 billion a small money? As a citizen of Nigeria has NEPA giving you light on credit before? I mean, legally, not the one dat we go and climb pole and tap light to use and not pay, or the one dey bring bill for use and we don't pay and they cut light till we pay or bribe. All dat illegal runs. But I mean legally, providing credit facility for citizens to use electricity for a long period on credit, let's say for 3 months, they recharge your card on credit to pay later? NEVER! NEVER EVER!!! NEVER EVER TO THE FOREVER EVER!!!!! So how did "foreigners" get electricity facility of N81 billion on credit? How I will tell you how: MONUMENTAL CORRUPTION!

TruthinAction:
I don't know why people can't read between lines. Asari Dokubo is not justifying the looting in NDDC but he is saying that there are far bigger looting going in other sectors which they deliberately turn blind eye on. If they are truly fighting corruption, search light should also be thrown on these other sectors such as NNPC, CBN and The Nigeria Customs. You will be amazed at the money being looted in these sectors.
Don't mind them. They are intentionally misinterpreting what Asari said because they want to deflect from the real issues he has raised. The evil cabal looting this country to its grave don't like it when we talk about corruption in the highest places in this country. So they will recruit their zombies to rant about nothing and point accusing fingers at the lesser thieves and try to deflect and push a tale of denial or "we will deal with it later, that's not the issue on ground now" hypocritical attitude when their thieving yansh is opened. When will the "later" come? When is the "when" that we will deal with the biggest thieves in this country and open their files. How long will they continue to sweep their probes under the carpet and we turn a blind eye to their corruption. These thieves are economic terrorists that have terrorized this country to a state of unimaginable poverty and mass suffering for the citizens. Yet we should shut up about that. I'm not a er or promoter of Asari but i won't deny or deflect that he has made a very valid point. He has raised an issue that honestly if we as citizens were truly serious about the development of this country we cannot ignore. A company whistle blower just exposed that 48 million barrels of crude oil has been siphoned to China. Where is the outrage? But the NDDC that was made for the development of the Niger-delta is been hounded to be scrapped, while the real hardened thieves in Abuja that have turned NNPC to their ATM are answerable to nobody. NNPC that is plundering the wealth of the same Niger-delta and appropriating the oil wells to their cabal, cronies and partners in crime. Asari isn't saying they should not probe NDDC. He is saying the thieves in NDDC are small thieves compared to the thieves in Abuja and what they stole is crumbs compared to what those ones are stealing.
