Ahmad Al Hajri from Saudi Arabia is the first person to buy an iPhone 7 in the Middle East region.

Today marked the first time that the UAE launched the new iPhone at the Apple Store – Mall of Emirates, at the same time as the rest of the world.

The iPhone features new advanced camera systems and better battery life, among other new features.

The phones come with immersive stereo speakers, wide colour system from camera to display, two new beautiful finishes, and is the first water and dust resistant iPhone.

The new Apple Watch Series 2 was also available from today onwards. With Series 2, Apple is focusing on athletes, promising a "swimproof" device that is water-resistant up to 50 meters.

This required Cupertino to redesign the watch’s speaker system and develop new seals and adhesives to keep water out.

Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia will get the new devices on September 24, 2016.
