INEC AD-HOC STAFF IN CLOSED DOOR MEETING IN GOVERNMENT HOUSE.

Our attention has been drawn to a meeting between top level officials of Edo State Government and the recently recruited Ad-Hoc staff of INEC that took place in the Festival Hall within the government house premises, Benin City, today, Thursday February 7, 2019.

We are aware that the APC government has lost the and the confidence of the people and has now resorted to bribery, inducement and falsification strategy to subvert the will of the people. We must all resist the undemocratic antics of the Edo APC government.

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has said that the government of President Muhammadu Buhari is collapsing because he is not in charge and takes no responsibility in the leadership of the country.



Prince Secondus said that the government is under performing in all sectors because the commander in Chief whom the bock ends on his table is not available to take vital decisions.



Speaking at a special conference on security organized in Kaduna by the PDP Presidential campaign Council as part of the on going national campaign, Prince Secondus said that Nigerians should not expect any surprise from a President who works only three hours in a day and sleeps out the rest.



"The reason why the APC istration is not performing because the President sleeps most of the man hour and leaves governance in the hands of cabals who do what ever they like.



The National Chairman said in statement from his media office signed by Ike Abonyi that ruling over 200m people requires a 247 leader not one who sleeps most of the time.



Prince Secondus noted that the security situation in the country got worse under President Buhari's watch because it's an area that requires that the Commander in Chief must be fully in charge to take responsiblilty.



The National Chairman told the conference that PDP istration under Atiku Abubakar is coming up with robust security policy that will respond to the changing dynamics.



He disclosed that the policy will ensure that there are adequate investment in technology to update nation's security structure to include having a war situation room at the seat of power for quick response to local and international security challenges.



Also speaking at the occasion while responding to questions from the audience, the Vice Presidential candidate of the PDP, Peter Obi said that Atiku Presidency will address the nation's security challenges from the root.



Obi said that Atiku's resolve to restructure Nigeria is derived from the fact that the current system cannot produce a just society and unjust society breeds anger and violence which leads to insecurity.



Another area that causes insecurity is unemployment which Atiku Presidency is taking as a Cardinal program if this country is to be rescued.



The Senate President and the Director General of the Presidential campaign council, Senator Bukola Saraki charged the people of Kaduna and and other North West states to vote for Atiku and the PDP to help rescue this country.



The security conference which attracted top PDP leaders and a cross section of the society including security experts reviewed the security situation in the country.

Wife of a former Vice president and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Titi, was on Friday evening attacked by suspected political thugs at Sarkin Sasa house in Ojoo area of Ibadan, Oyo State.

Mrs. Abubakar had arrived in the city two days ago to solicit for her husband’s presidential bid.

An eyewitness told our correspondent that she had had a fruitful discussion with Sarkin Sasa and the Hausa community in the area when the hoodlums attacked her convoy.

Some of the ers in the convoy were said to have been injured in the attack.

A chieftain of the PDP in the state, Alhaji Bisi Olopoenia, confirmed the development to our correspondent but said the party was investigating the attack on the harmless visitors.

He said there were insinuations that the attackers demanded money from the visitors and after they were allegedly given, some of them still went ahead to foment trouble.

Efforts to reach the State Police Public Relation Officer, Adekunle Ajisebutu, were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.

Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has described as ‘cock and bull story’, the allegation that he played a role in the collapse of Platinum Habib Bank, Bank PHB.


DAILY POST had reported that the Federal Government of Nigeria on Friday said Atiku would be questioned when he returns from the United States.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, who disclosed this while briefing State House correspondents on Friday said the government would investigate Atiku’s alleged role in the collapse of former Bank PHB.


According to him the investigation was “following fresh evidence that he (Atiku) benefitted from slush funds that led to the collapse of Bank PHB.”

Two years after, Central Hospital still under Lock and Key

Compliments of the season. 

In November 2018 when we heard you were coming to pay a working visit to Edo state, we issued a press release. The press release was essentially to remind you that over 2 years ago, the then Governor , Adams Aliyu Oshiomole invited  you to commission a so-called "5star hospital" built and purportedly equipped by his  istration. Unfortunately, you cancelled the visit. 

Just this morning, we were informed you will be coming on Thursday, 17th January and the only way we can talk to you is by writing you this brief letter. 

We believe it will be of interest to you to know that since your visit in 2016, the "5star hospital" has neither recorded any out-patient, nor itted any in-patient. The building hosts only rodents and reptiles. 

It is now obvious that Governor Adams Oshiomole cleverly executed the project as a  scam to defraud the state and deny the people access to good health facilities, a situation that has led to hundreds of avoidable deaths. 

Our concern over this despicable act, Mr. President, is not just that billions of taxpayers' money was sunk into this phoney project, but you were persuaded to commission a non existent hospital that makes it look like you were party to the deceit and fraud. 

While Edo people are now used to the fact that Adams Oshiomhole can do anything to deceive the people  to enrich himself, we are embarrassed at the attempt to use your person to commission a building that has only served as a  center for internally displaced reptiles in Benin City as well as a conduit pipe for milking Edo state and its people. 

Finally, Mr. President we urge you to pay a second visit to the central Hospital to enable you appreciate the disappointment of the people over this central Hospital scandal of fraud and deceit. We call on you to use your office to direct relevant government agencies to commence immediate investigation and necessary action to bring the principal actors to book.

Kindly prevail on Edo State government to avail Edo people the dividends of democracy, particularly in the health sector.

Information reaching the PoliticsNGR newsdesk on Monday morning reveals that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC raided an apartment belonging to sons of the PDP presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar over the weekend.

The building also houses an apartment occupied by two sons of Atiku Abubakar and Chiemeka Orji, son of ex-Abia State Governor, Theodore Orji.

Reports indicate that the home of Mr Abubakar’s children was the primary target, but an anti-graft source hinted otherwise,that Chiemeka might have been the target due to the fact that his father, Theodore Orji is currently in court with the EFCC on charges of Corruption.

The apartment building coccupied by Aliyu and Mustapha Atiku is situated in Maitama, Abuja. The raid comes a day after Ex-Anambra Governor and Atiku's running mate, Peter Obi's bank s were frozen. The EFCC and IC have since denied being responsibly for the act.

Paul Ibe, a spokesperson for the Atiku Abubakar family, confirmed the incident stating that the officers who carried out the raid were unable to find anything incriminating.

Aliyu and Mustapha are currently out of the country studying for their masters' degress. None were around during the raid.

Frank condemns Shiites killing, says Buhari, Buratai must be tried for genocide

Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Comrade Timi Frank, has called on all the international Human rights organisations to note the record of brutal killings, especially that of Shiites people under the current istration, saying President Muhammadu Buhari and his Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, must face trial after their stay in office.

Frank said contrary to the constitutional provision that security of lives and welfare shall be the responsibility of government, the current All Progressives Congress (APC) istration is encouraging its agents to cause the killing of the citizens.

Recall that on Sunday morning, the protesting Shiites and the Nigerian Army had clashed where some protesting Shiites were brutally killed.

But while condemning soldiers deadly use of force on ers of Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) during a religious procession in Zuba, near Abuja, Comrade Frank, in a statement on Monday, said under President Buhari the country has seen a sharp rise in the use of brute force by security agents to quail harmless demonstrators.

According to him, a country where the value of human lives continues to depreciate on a daily basis can only be referred to as a failed state.

The former APC spokesman said the continuing detention of Shia's leader,El-Zakzaky despite several Court orders is uncivilised by any leaders in the world.

"President Buhari-led istration have been releasing the dreaded Boko Baram jihadist under the guise of 'repentant terrorist' yet he does not see anything wrong in attacking the shia who are peacefully clamouring for the release of their leader who the Court of law had set free.

"The disobedience of this istration to the decision of Court of law portents danger for the country's peace and orderliness.

"If ordinary citizens are being kill by the security agents under an elected democratic government in this manner, such h leader must be ready to be prosecuted for genocide after his short stay in power," Frank stated.

Continued, the outspoken former APC chieftain wondered "how can an army kill her armless citizens with live bullets? I will never the idea that live bullets were used on the protesters. What manner of provocation will make them shoot unarmed citizens? Soldiers shooting and killing unarmed protesters is a crime against humanity."

While calling on international community to take note of the current development, Frank also called on Amnesty International (AI) and other rights protection international organizations not to close their eyes against the act of "killing innocent citizens for no just cause."

Nigerian lawyer, Festus Keyamo who was recently made the Director, Strategic Communication of the president’s campaign organization, in an interview on Channels TV on Sunday, said that 2019 election will be easier for President Buhari to win than even when he was elected in 2015.

Festus Keyamo who disclosed some ‘great’ feats President Buhari has achieved so far in his government like the second Niger bridge, also said it is 40% complete and has been expanded from a 2km to a 7km bridge. He also pointed out the railway tracks, which he said has been increased from single gage to standard gauge railway tracks. According to him the railway tracks between Lagos and Ibadan and Kano and Abuja is 80% complete.

“The 2019 election will be the easiest election for president Buhari despite what the nay sayers are saying, it will be the easier the president than 2015 and all the indices are there, because since that time the president had won over the heart of other sections of the country at that time that may not have voted for him, between then and now he has won their heart.”



Nigerians will see that despite all the negative talks here and there, that it will be the easiest election for the president more than that of 2015,” said the lawyer.

This is also coming after a group, known as One Destiny Organization, ODO, told newsmen that the appointment of Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, as spokesperson for the Buhari Campaign Organisation, BCO, would make President Muhammadu Buhari‘s re-election bid easier in the 2019 presidential election.

The National Coordinator of ODO, Ohiri O Lewis said in a statement yesterday, in Abuja, that the appointment of Keyamo was in recognition of his integrity, commitment and dedication to the cause of President Buhari’s re-election.

He said, “It is a well deserved appointment. Nigerians know that Festus Keyamo is a committed Buharist, an ardent er of the policies and programs of this istration and not a frivolous person.

“He has over time shown commitment in the president’s war on corruption, he has been steadfast in helping to drive home the new culture of transparency the president wants Nigerians to embrace through his numerous media interventions and has proven beyond any iota of doubt that he is ready to give his all for the re-election project of Mr President.”
