Served in Jigawa state precisely Dutse . It was hell. Flies, dust, hoppers, scorpions, extreme heat, extreme cold (in d harmattan) and to cap it- an extremely underdeveloped sharia practising state; no alcohol except in police n army clubs, Infact no social lif,, u can't even get a good eatery to eat. Undisputably the worst 7 months of my life until I redeployed. Don't go dere.
"DON'T GO THERE!'' A WORD IS ENOUGH FOR THE WISE.

Chai... is it that Bad?
Yes....I was told almost all the LGI's come to work daily from Kano. Infact, call me and hear more. I'll give u 5 other corps ' numbers for confirmation of the deplorable state of schools there. Even their principals can hardly communicate in English Language!!

stop decieving nairalander..i served in jigawa at hadeja local govt precisely... Its not as bad as u are painting it..life is swt there.. Things are cheap..the muslims there are so friendly.. more than decades they have not recorded any violent btw muslims and christians. You will be richer as a corper cuz the state govt pay 5k then when federal alawee was 9k.. Dont be shock if they pay 20k now
''Don't be shock'' is the best you can get of their graduates in that state. You can't dispute all I have pointed out in my post, young man. As a result of the woeful standard of living there, it'll interest you that I've opted to continue my service there in absentia!!!

Honestly, don't choose Jigawa. If you have plans for your life after NYSC, flee choosing the state. Dusty...Hausa to the core....flies....abegi...itz not worth it. Plus 99% 1% Muslim-Christian ratio in favour of the former. Above all, its too far. You must get to Kano before you see anything recent...even bus back to your state!

Thou shalt not marry an idle wife or keep an idle girlfriend. Both are undisciplined and will soon manifest their indiscipline in myriad ways!!!

It should be...''and was subsequently defused...'' not ''detonated.''

Koboko succeeded in setting the mind on the proper path where counsel failed. They should have moved to Nigeria asap. Neighbours would have effortlessly helped this young chap.

I am married. January 2016 will see me count my third year in marriage. My experience is little but i have learned quite a bit. I am 38 so i have seen all types of shapes, emotions, character, culture, education, background in women. My sincere answer is Character rules. My Wife loves me to pieces, i am very fond of her. What has kept us going through he very rough times is not love. I would have quit the union honestly. Love is not enough and love has various definitions and types. What has acted as an anchor has been her Character. She is a very good girl with manners and an impeccable upbringing. She remained a virgin till our wedding night and is very virtuous. Her virtue has been tested Several times and has stood the test of time. Romance is great and that heart racing feeling is fantastic. If you find it good luck but please find character with it because love is not enough.
......Hmmmm....well, nice argument. But there is a girl I love, but hate her character. We fight....severally. It's my 4th year with her. She loves me too. Guess what, I can't leave her, because of the love. So, in as much as character is what I want, I just discovered, unfortunately, that, many waters cannot quench love. So, I'll advise the op to follow his heart and when the trials come, he should know that something must kill a man. If whomever he chooses is worth dying for, he should stick to her!

Another Nigerian with common sense; God bless you. At least, I now have hope for my own children when I have them...because with your children as role models around us, I can relax in the neighbourhood!

Now...did someone notice she introduced new points in each paragraph? All that lady needs is a tutoring in mechanical accuracy. The content is good, the expression is also fair. Don't be suprised, some Nigerian graduates cannot express themselves better!

Point B, I'd recommend you to the producers of the King James Version and the Directors of Spartacus, if I could! Brother, you are good! I'm proud of you....really proud of you. This is a very good satirical, but historical tool! Keep it up.
