This thread is for martial art enthusiast. Would be nice to link up, or share and exchange ideas with fellow martial art artist, or intending martial artist. So a brief intro; I’ve been into martial art for a little over 1 year now. I study Krav Maga & Wing Chun Martial art. It’s been a very nice experience and journey for me so far. And some day I’d love go to IP Man Chun Wing Chun academy in Hong Kong to train with the legendary Ip Chun. His the son of the legendary Ip man. His 93 years old of age. Hopefully, I get to see him before he departs this earth. It would also be nice to meet some of his student like the Grand Master Samuel Kwok. His got a Wing Chun Academy here in Cape Town. I currently train at the Wing Chun South African academy. Our Sifu trained under Ip Man student in Hong Kong. Hopefully, someday I can bring Ip man style Kung Fu to Nigeria. I checked and can’t seem to find any Wing Chun academy in Nigeria 2 Likes |

Chief, I don’t mean to derail the thread. But I’m curious. How come you’re so knowledgeable, intelligent in almost everything? So, for the past one week. I’ve been reading all your post on your previous handles. So much wisdom and I feel truly inspired. I’d like to ask. What kind of books do you read? How many times do you read a day? In some of your post, you alluded too much reading makes the body weary? Your knowledge of science is impeccable. I just marvel at how someone can be so highly highly highly intellectual. Plus your sense of humor is out of this world. What would be your advise to folks who want to follow in your footsteps? Please share as I’m keen on learning. Thank you very much lekki1444: 3 Likes 1 Share |

True bro! But not all South Africans have that stereotype on Nigerians. And honestly, I don’t have the patience to mingle with myopic South Africans with such view, and I don’t really care what someone else thinks about me. Can’t be bothered about something I have no control over! Carmit: |

Dude nobody is justifying the xenophobic attack and killings. Why don’t you look at the root cause of the problem instead of the symptom. And no the murder rate of SA, isn’t higher than Nigeria. You lie my brother. Let’s try to be factual and objective in our assessment of the matter. BeLookingIDIOT: 1 Like |

The living condition in SA, is much better, if not amongst the best in Africa. You have a steadily growing middle class. I reckon it will only get better with time. Caseless: 2 Likes |

Lol you crazy bro! You think I live in zoo where you have animals roaming without a leach? South Africa is 100% safer than Nigeria bro! All that xenophobic attack happens in the township. Plus I can understand the frustration of those folks in the townships who carry out those attack. Why would you go to their townships sell drugs and traffic their girls into prostitution and whatnot. The way some of our country men behave in this country and the illegal things they engage in, is enough reason for those folks to react in that way. Iceyjayz: 1 Like |

Bro, count Nigeria out. As sad it may seem, Nigeria doesn’t have the capacity( infrastructures) to host any global event. Heck, they don’t even have stable electricity. Let’s fix electricity first, upgrade the infrastructure before thinking of hosting global event like world up or Olympics. So I did my research and found out that for Nigeria to be at the level South Africa is now. Nigeria would have to spend a whooping $200B- $300B aggressively for a period of 10-20 years, with zero corruption. Every dollar spent must be ed for. Now that’s a very task to accomplish in Nigeria, because of the deep rooted corruption in the government. Now, that’s next to impossible, plus where would they get that kind of money. Nigeria had the opportunity to become at least a middle income country like South Africa and other Asian countries but squandered that opportunity. It’s a sad situation. Really sad TMKsouth: 3 Likes 1 Share |

Not all bro. Those who are bitter are just frustrated. Nigeria is tough. You have to live in Nigeria to understand why folks down there are bitter. WannaHowzit: 1 Like |

To be honest bro! I was indifferent. I was surprised that there was an African country hosting the World Cup, thereby arousing my interest and curiosity about South Africa. TMKsouth: 3 Likes |

Why would African-Americans want to leave America and come to Africa? They built America from ground up to where it is today, with sweat and blood. I don’t have anything against the ones who want to come to the motherland tho. They are always welcome here. The problem, however, is how they’d get along with Africans.

It would take eons before any country in Africa can host the FIFA World Cup! Nigeria should have been the next country in Africa to do that. I’m afraid it would be easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than Nigeria to host the World Cup. A so called giant of Africa. Maybe they might get a go at it in 2150.
