Just stumbled on your thread and think I should give you my perspective. I was in your position sometime ago.

The responses were spot on. I mean considering your earning capacity.

It's a good thing that you have developed a savings culture. Kudos to you. Maintain that. It will definitely help in the future.

However your main goal should be how to increase your earnings maybe by starting something by the side , learning a new skill that can earn you money or getting a job that pays better. See, there is a limit to how much you can currently save.

Don't abandon the idea of leaving (you can postpone till you increase your earnings) and don't wait till you are ready for marriage. The earlier responses considered only the cost leaving out the value. Living independently comes with its own benefits also.

I get your parents angle. They are just trying to protect you. That's what parents do. But soon , they might not be so cool with that if they start seeing your age mates getting married and living in their own houses (Considering your age). That's when the real pressure will come.

Waiting till marriage is not advisable cos marriage comes with its own cost and responsibilities.

My advice is increase your income as soon as possible and start building your life.
