I got the above email from VFS this morning. Then I chatted them to confirm which courier company they use and the confirmed it's UPS. But they didn't give me the tracking number and I didn't get any update from UPS either.

Pls has anyone experienced this before? Meanwhile I sent my port from Lagos to Abuja and I paid for VFS 1 way courier (for them to send it back to me directly).

Or do I have to wait for 24hrs before I will get update from UPS?

I also received similar message from them yesterday. I used DHL to send the port to them more than 2 weeks ago. But, I don't know if they will send it back through the same DHL having paid the returne courier fee too.

IELTS is not compulsory again cos Nigeria is an English speaking nation but I would advice you start the process of collecting your transcript

True it is not compulsory fot general application but mandatory if you are applying through Nigerian Study Express or Student Direct Stream route.

What platforms have you used so far for flight purchases, I checked throughout the night surfing for cheap flights. The ones that I found in transit are in the US, and I do not have a US visa, so it is a no-go area.

And I want to say this, if you have received your visa, please don't wait till ooo. Flight tickets are skyrocketing every day.

I had earlier considered Egypt Air and Ethiopian Airlines too but finally opted for Lufthansa about a week ago for about 1478 USD. Unlike Egypt and Ethiopian Air which has about 3 stop overs Lufthansa only has just 1 which is far better.

Yes it has been stamped. If you submitted in Abj and and plan to pick up in person, then go pick up now. However, if it's in lag you submitted and plan to pick up in person then you wait till you are told it's ready to pick up in lag

NOUN doesn't send transcript directly to students but to the institution that needs it. I requested mine in 2021 for about 25 or 30K and it was processed and sent to the Canadian university within 1 month or so. That cost also covered the DHL courier service.

I am about submitting my second application after my first denial.
Ordered gums note and My first denial reason was a result of lack of proof of relationship between myself and my sponsor. My sponsor is my elder brother.
This time around.. I added notarized affidavit of relationship, notarized gift deed of 3m, my brother attestation of birth and age declaration and one recent pic of i and my sponsor together.
My fears now is that I am using another bank statement of my elder brother (sponsor) and the statement pages for 4months are about 80pages, is the statement pages of 80pages too much? Would it b a red flag or would it be ok.. I need ur urgent response pls.

Why not let him request for MyBankStatement (MBS) which will be electronically sent to the bank directly instead of the usual printed statement from banks.

Yes, that's where it'll go. VFS Lagos will send your port to Abuja for the actual visa.
This is why most people prefer sending directly to Abuja. It takes out the middle man which in this case is the branch in Lagos.

Is it at Abuja they are stamping the port with the actual visa? I thought it is in Nairobi, Kenya.

The 16hours from Ethiopia to Toronto for example is tiring.

The layover in Dublin doesn't count to me because your legs won't touch down because they are just refuelling.

In my opinion, use LUFTHASAN

The clue is this: submit all documents that qualifes you for the Nigerian Study Express (NSE) option and you will get your result/decision within 30days. In fact, I got my own decision (PPR) in just 8 days. The documents are : 1.Upfront Medcals .2. IELTS Academics Result. 3. MyBankStatements (MBS). However, if you haven't done IELTS, you can avoid NSE and still get your decision slightly faster than others too by submitting upfront medicals and MBS in your application.

It means VFS has sent your port to where it will be stamped. Your port should be ready by next week Wednesday at VFS, and probably send it to you by Thursday.

I think I saw a Lufthansa ticket to Canada that cost about 1200USD (900K) on their site few days ago but I avoided it because that option does not have a refund if you miss your flight and rebooking too will be charged. I chose the option of about 1480 USD (1.1M) because it is refundable, changeable etc. But as at today that price has shot up to more than 2000 USD.

Aside the question you have asked, I noticed you wrongly ed Letter of Explanation (LOE) at the section meant for Letter of Acceptance the school has given you. Your LOE is supposed to be merged with your other ing documents and ed in the last form input in the portal. It is not a replacement for Letter of Acceptance.

I have experienced it many times. What I usually do is to refresh my page . It works most times for me.

My apologies for not giving the updates yesterday. Please for anyone applying for study permit, do note that proof of funds is not the only vital criteria. Proper arrangement of your documents is also highly sacrosanct. I recently heard from the International Student Advisory Unit of a Canadian university that the average time a Visa Officer spent on each application is about 6 mins. This means you have a very limited time in convincing the Visa Officer about your application in the midst of hundreds or thousands of applicants. Hence, do ensure to properly structure and present your application and documents in a concise, easily understandable and straightforward manner. I personally recommend using a table of contents so that every section of your application can be seen at a glance. Find below the similar structure I used for mine . I prefer separating my SOP from LOE. My view is that LOE should focus on just explaining the contents of one's application while SOP should focus on everything about oneself (background, course, future plans etc). Without recourse to the CAD 9,000 funding from the university, you may or may not need CAD 9,300 more.

You said you had CAD 18,000 after conversion. It may not benefit you if you do conversion compared to presenting your in Naira.

You may have used the black market rate which will short change you. IRCC don't deal with Nigerians using the black market rate, they deal with Nigerians using the official CBN rate which is around $1/341 and not $1/570.

You may want to recalculate your funds using the official rate and have your POF presented in Naira.

Although, if the CAD 9,000 funding from the university is recognized, you may not need any more fund; I will advise that you play safe by ignoring the funding and ensure you have your funds complete. By this, you may have eliminated the risk of refusal due to "Financial or Personal Assets."

My portal was updated with Medical ed this evening. What sign is this with regards to ppr dropping??

It seems final decision usually come after ing medicals based on what I have observed so far.

If you had #20m, you had approximately ENOUGH FUND if the total tuition is $32k for two years and not for just 1 year.

You may clarify if the $32k tuition fee is for one or two years.

Spouse should apply for SOWP, children Visit Visa.

Please can you mine too. Total tuition fee for 2yrs masters degree is 17,900 CAD which is divided into 13,513 CAD for 1st year and 4,300CAD for 2nd year. I have already paid 13,600 CAD to cover entire first year tuition and has additional 18,000 CAD in bank savings after conversion . I also have annual 9000CAD as university funding . The area is Lethbridge, Alberta.
