update.:
After applyin to the turkish embassy on friday through their email,i was giving an appointment on monday. People who were going to cyprus and didnt have appointments were sent back,and they were asked to book an appointment so as to get an appointment date and number.
So after the interview,i was asked to come back the next day to collect my port. So,am just comin back now from the embassy, and i have been giving my visa.

So,as i said i was @ d embassy yesterday and the turkish white man came out to address the students.he told us that d rules have changed and that we will now need to book an appointment by email. After which the emabassy will reply your email by giving u a time and a specific date that you will come. So thats it. he also asked us to book an air ticket reservation to turkey. Print a copy and come with it on the day of ur appointment. So take note my broda.

ok. Am currently in the turkish embassy,and we were told today 27/01/2012 that d rules have changed. We were asked to book an appointment with the turkish embassy online. As we all know,students going to TRNC dont need to book an appointment.but now its a new rule. And then we were also asked to book an air ticket reservation.so the new rules added are,
1. Book an appointment with the embassy. They will give u a date and time.
2. Book an air ticket reservation.
So thats all for now.I will update u guys as we advance into the whole process.

lest i forget. U have to for the iBT test. D will give u a schedule and u will pick a date for d test. Note dat u cant write it @ home it must be done from an accreditated center. So u start now to begin to work on your speed and accuracy.since u will sit in front of a p.c u wount have much time to think of the answers, cus your time will be tickin away.and when your time  is up,weda your in d 1st section or the last section d computer screen will automatically close ,save and send your answers to the appropriate body for marking and evaluation. Best of luck bro.
Note: its not hard as you may think it is.

@ op. TOEFL has 2 types.
1. paper based test.
2. Internet based test(iBt)
For the paper based test,just as it sounds is the normal test or exam u write with your question paper and answer sheets right infront of u.
unlike the internet based test(iBT),its based more using the internet.you will answer the questions usin your p.c and head fones for the listening and speakin section. the 550 score required of u from your school, i assume is from the paper based test.its so because its usually higher in scores then the iBT.
Am not sure if the paper based test is still isterd in nigeria because of much fraud. when i wrote mine last year,it was the iBT that i did. google it and u will get some online materials for practice.all the same,wishin u the best.
