I have been reading the comments of some people on the use of voice vote immediately the Nigeria senate used voice vote to settle the issue os the State of Emergency declared in Rivers State. This is not the first time voice vote was used and it can never be the last. America, where we copied oyr own democracy and presidential system of government still use voice vote.
Some of us here in Nigeria will applaud a system when it favours them but the moment the system does not favour them ,they cry fowl.
Now let us look at how voting is done in the US senate.
The Senate votes on bills, resolutions, motions, amendments, nominations, and treaties in a variety of ways. If one-fifth of a quorum of senators request it, the Senate will take a roll-call vote. In a roll-call vote, each senator votes “yea” or “nay” as his or her name is called by the clerk, who records the votes on a tally sheet. In most cases a simple majority is required for a measure to . In the case of a tie, the vice president may cast the tie-breaking vote. In a few instances, the Constitution requires a two-thirds vote of the Senate, including: expelling a senator; overriding a presidential veto; proposing a constitutional amendment for ratification by the states; convicting an impeached official; and consenting to ratification of a treaty. Under Senate debate rules, it takes a three-fifths majority of those duly chosen and sworn to invoke cloture and end debate on a piece of legislation. Senate rules also require a two-thirds vote to invoke cloture on a measure that would amend the Senate's rules though the measure itself requires only a simple majority vote for adoption.
The Senate also conducts voice votes. In a voice vote the presiding officer states the question, then asks those in favor to say "yea" in unison and those against to say "nay." The presiding officer announces the results according to his or her best judgment. In a voice vote, the names of the senators and the tally of votes are not recorded.
The least common vote in the Senate is a division (or standing) vote. If a senator is in doubt about the outcome of a voice vote, he or she may request a division, whereby the presiding officer counts the senators voting yea and those voting no, to confirm the voice vote. Division votes are also commonly used for votes on treaties.
Finally, much of Senate business is conducted by unanimous consent, in which a measure es so long as no senator objects.
The outcome of Senate votes are printed in the Congressional Record. The Senate's roll-call votes from the 101st Congress to present are available online.
You don't have to everything done by this government all because you voted for Tinubu. How do you calculate two third of voice vote?

I think Atiku and Obi are banking on the unpopularity as well due to how abmissall Tinubu has performed
Except a miracle happen before the election the outlook on Tinubu remains the same as far as common man is concerned
Thy can recalculate all the indices to confuse people but it will not work
The common man only understands fuel price!

Pls what does the report actually mean? What's the implementation?
It means that the percentage of our revenue that we are using to pay back debts has reduced. The implication is that we have freed up money to spend on developmental aspects such as roads and healthcare. Revenue means money coming in for Nigeria.
Another implication is that our debts should stop climbing crazily like under Buhari who was u to 97% of revenue to pay debts yearly.

For me, as long as Obi go stand vice to Atiku under any party, Tpain is history.
Firstly, because Obi no fit do 1 term so make im no enter that trap to stand as President in 2027, im gats to hold vice till 2035, then become President till 2043.
Na my opinion be that and this is the sacrifice Obi has to make personally for a new Nigeria to be possible and to kick those shit no wipe nyash and their fake Bishops out of Abuja.
AtikuObi na Tpain, APC, Reno and co their greatest nightmare.
If Tpain like make e own labour party and NNPP, AtikuObi na winner anytime anyway, INEC or no INEC.
The best thing is for him to run with Atiku in 2027 like you said. So many people are already tired of this present istration and yearn for a difference. But can Atiku do two ?

GeneralDae: Nigeria's Dangote complex has started producing from its 830,000 mt/year polypropylene facility.
The petrochemical units are some of the last to be commissioned at the new site and promise around an 800% increase in Nigeria's polypropylene capacity.
Nigeria's new Dangote refinery has commenced the startup of its polypropylene facility in Lagos, market sources told Platts March 10.
Starting up Dangote's 830,000 mt/year polypropylene site was one of the last outstanding milestones for the oil refining and petrochemical complex in its commissioning sequence, which has been taking place since January 2024.
Polypropylene production has now started, with supplies being distributed in 25 kg bags, and has already threatened to upend the domestic market, two market sources told Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights.
One trade source said that the Dangote Group began preemptively offering polypropylene supplies as early as February. A company representative was not immediately available for comment.
Dangote Group CEO Aliko Dangote previously set out hopes that the complex would fully cover some 250,000 mt/year domestic demand for polypropylene, which is commonly used in plastic packaging and textiles.
Once fully operational, the Dangote facility is set to become Africa's largest polypropylene production site, producing from two polypropylene units with capacities of 500,000 mt/year and 330,000 mt/year.
Market participants have warned that the new capacity could quickly capture market share in the existing polypropylene homopolymer market, which has so far been concentrated at Indorama Eleme's Port Harcourt refinery in Nigeria and drawn imports from the Middle East.
In the oil market, the giant privately owned Dangote complex has so far shown an ability to significantly undercut local producers, triggering steep discounts in the gasoline retail market from state oil company NNPC.
Already, the refinery has substantially displaced traditional trade routes for oil products that would typically flow from Europe to West Africa, serving a growing share of the domestic market as NNPC's newly restarted Port Harcourt and Warri refineries have suffered outages.
A Dangote executive told Platts in February that the oil refinery should reach its full 650,000 b/d capacity by mid-March, without providing an updated timeline for the petrochemicals site to reach full utilization.
Platts last assessed the CFR West Africa PP raffia spot price at $1,090/mt March 5, unchanged on the week.
Nigeria Demand: 250k MTPA
Port Harcourt Eleme Capacity: 120k MTPA
Imports: ~130k MTPA (250 - 120)
Dangote capacity: 830k MTPA
In essence, Dangote can meet Nigeria's fuel demand with some left for the subregion
