How to root ?
Step 1 - Open System Manager
Step 2 - Goto Setting icon on top Right
Step 3 - Uncheck Root reminder and exit
Step 4 - Open KingRoot and click on root
Step 5 - If not able to root on first time then try 2 - 3 time
Step 6 - Restart device Open root checker

Hurray Your device is rooted

Check Root reminder
goback to system manager home
click on Phone rooted restore and click to Repair

indian rom is better, atleast u get option to move apps to sd card

yup and indian gionee came with this. Indian M5 has 3gb ram + 32GB internal memory.
why has gionee not offered it as OTA too all n sundry? why confine it to india ?
in this build, everything gets saved in memory card with the option to move the app as well.
changing fonts as stock is a welcome addition
it is more efficient on battery
etc etc

That message stuff has been fixed. I was able to locate the source and it was because my sim 2 which was GLO network does not have the SMS service centre number so I just googled it and added it. Problem solved. The Idian ROM is better but the only 3G option that's not available is just the problem but you can force it to 3G only mode by dialing *#*#4636#*#* Battery life is same.

Yeah. I'm no longer using the Stock ROM that came with my phone due to a minor accident that happened. I ed India Stock ROM and it seems like its a higher version than ours but that 3G issue is just the downside but I'm on 3G only mode right now thanks to one code that I used.
