why is everybody angry with the 'friend'? If this story is true, the so-mentioned friend knew this girl (say months, or even years) before the poster got to know her. The friend may have dated and eventually broken up with her before the poster saw her.

I dont think the friend did anything wrong by dating the girl previously. As for the poster, it's up to him to decide whether he can live with that or not. I think he told you first, so you dont get to know about it from another source, and later blame him for not telling you initially.

Someone just mentioned Government Secondary School, Owerri - founded in 1935. That's my almamata. It was originally a primary school from 1905 until 1935.

Unfortunately, the (academic and moral) standards we met (and left) in that school (in the 90s) appear to have been eroded. I wonder what they are teaching those kids there now.
