Donald J. Trump begins his victory speech by congratulating Hillary Clinton "on a very, very hard-fought campaign" and calling for unity.

Speaking at a victory party in New York, Trump was gracious toward Clinton and called for unity.
"We owe (Clinton) a very major debt of gratitude to her for her service to our country," Trump said. "I say it is time for us to come together as one united people."
He added: "I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be president for all Americans."

This afternoon, 4 robbers came to Oriaku street Aba, Abia state. They came to where some women were plaiting hair and stole their phones and money, shot a guy and ran away. Two were later caught at Umuocham Road and they were brought back to Oriaku street where the stole and shot a man, while the others fled. Everyone in the street came out to see the faces of the robbers. They were severely beaten and striped unclad. The mob was about burning them when police came and whisked them away. BREAKING: INEC Bars Print, Online Journalists From Collation Centre

Journalists from print and online newspapers have been denied access to the collation centre of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Benin, the Edo state capital.

Journalists, who converged on the Ipoba Hill headquarters of INEC in Benin, were ushered out of one of the main halls at about 8:30pm.

A police officer handed a list to the armed operatives manning the centre, and directed them to deny entry to anyone whose name was not on the list.

Apart from journalists from television stations, only electoral observers, party agents, security personnel and INEC officials were allowed to go inside the hall.

A reporter with Radio Nigeria, who approached the security officials, was referred to a canopy in an open space within the compound.

The place is filled with mosquitoes, and some of the reporters left in protest.

No official of the commission addressed those affected on the reason why they were restricted from the hall.

The All Progressive Congress (APC) score only one vote in Iguododo, hometown of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
Pastor Ize-Iyamu voted in Unit 26, Ward five in Orhionmwon local government area.
After the counting of the ballots, Ize-Iyamu polled 369 against one vote scored by the candidate of the APC, Godwin Obaseki.

Renowned actor, Pete Edochie has blasted the Muhammadu Buhari led government and his party, the All Progressives Congress, over their insistence on removal of Chief Ike Ekweremadu as the Deputy Senate President.


The APC leadership, including some governors elected under the party’s platform have repeatedly said the plan to remove Ekweremadu was a task that must be accomplished.
