Haa.. that's past the deadline. If they can't suspend new medical appointments, to clear out back logs, they need to employ more hands as well as improved equipments in order to expedite the process.

My sister did hers on the 2nd of June at IOM Ikeja, and no update yet. After calling them on several occasions, they told her the result is not ready yet, and her deadline is on June 16.

Did they inform her on when it would be ed?. I should have used qlife

I would also advise you reached out to the facility where you did your medicals, especially with my experience today.

Submitted application for Work Permit for Spouse (SOWP), Study Permit (SP) & Visit Visa (VV) on May 10th and did upfront for all on May 1st (My older daughter (SP) had an existing medical that was ed on a previous application). Qlife delayed ing report for the VV until I got a request for additional medicals from IRCC on the 22nd and I was at QLife on 24th to deal (they were full of apologies). Meanwhile medical for SP was ed on 18th of May, medical for SOWP was ed on 22nd of May, and it now remained VV.

I followed up with emails and webforms from the 1st of June to IRCC that how far, especially since VV's medical was still pending. PPR dropped for SOWP and SP on the 7th and 9th of June respectively while VV 's medical is still pending for VV. I have been sending daily emails and webform to IRCC but decided to visit QLife in person today, only to discover they were yet to transmit results for the VV. It is worthy to note that the medical for my older daughter's SP expired after it was ed and she she did another medical which has also been ed while my 3 month old daughter medical was yet to be transmitted, if not for the delay, all applications would probably have been approved in May)

Now that this has been done, hoping IRCC will the medical and I can get her PPR this week so we can dispatch ports for stamping.

NB: I got my SP last year December and would be resuming Fall 2023, so still very much in Nigeria, I just booked another medical since my medical on file has now expired.

5 business days max. Send ur e medical document to IRCC via web form. Send morning nd evening for some days and send emails too. It will be updated not to worry.

IRCC will not send an update. Monitor your application, once IRCC works on the your application the Medical section will be updated to Medical ed. You can call IOM to be sure it is sent.

Just go there and book in person if you have gotten a medical request. You have to be patient though because you might make the visit twice before they attend to you.

If you already have a medical request, add it to the email and attach it as proof. It will make them give you a closer date

- The 5M you have in your is okay. Just show the proof of the source of funds.

- She doesn’t need to gift you any money especially since she’s already in Canada. You said she’ll be paying about CAD$7k for your part tuition, that’s a positive sign to show her commitment, if she could pay full 1year tuition that’s even better than gifting you any money.

- she can have as much as she can show proof of source of funds. However, values above CAD$ 50k are recommended.

Your expenses for a year is roughly: 15k(tuition)+ 1,500( Health insurance)+ 10k living expenses/accommodation + 4k round trip flight+ 5k miscellaneous (meal plans, books& stationary, settling allowances including winter jackets)..
TOTAL: about 36k per annum. *2 (roughly 70k)

so let’s say you have 5M, which is about $CAD15k, then she pays 7k part tuition. That’s 22k off.
She’ll need to show like 60-70k. Most importantly show she’s actively working and she’s seeing money.
