No need to waste time and money. If one didn't have the POF in the past 90 days I think, it won't be approved. No nomination!

That's not always the case. They should do exactly as advised. They will only lose $300 application fee if declined and nothing more..

That may not be true, experience is different from educational credential. They're not mutually exclusive. Besides, all that's required is for them to provide relevant documents that demonstrate their experience in their NOC, and education. For instance, I may have been working in a qualified NOC for years before completing a higher degree.

Your experience only counts post education for Express Entry.

It's the same as the RFV email she received. Print out the email and submit to them.

Oyinkankt:
Good morning guys! Please I’m hoping someone can help answer this question or had a similar experience with VFS lagos.

My baby sister got RFV email June 2nd. And followed all the instructions on the letter. On getting to VFS, they are requesting for original port request letter! And there’s nothing like that on her cic profile! Even the RFV email was very detailed on what she needs to take along to VFS and there was nothing like request letter on the list. I’m so confused. Has anyone had a similar experience? How did you go about fixing it

I'd advise you to submit since the funds would have been on your for 80 days by submission date. Provide documents ing source of your POF and with LOE.

OnyiPeace:
SINP ITA

I received the Invitation to submit an Application on the 19th of May for SINP, I have all my necessary documents except my proof of funds which has been in my for 3weeks on that particular day I received the Invitation.
On the 17th of July which will be the last day to submit my application will make it 80 days that my funds are in my and not 90 days. I am left with the option of declining the offer and applying for another EOI or submitting my application like that. Still, I don't want to submit and receive an ineligible mail. I am seeking to know whether it's a strict requirement for it to be 90 days. Has anyone presented proof of fund that is not up to 90 days and it was successful ?

Thank you.

What's the percentage of this to total POF. If you have assets to sell with documents, you can sell and add it to your POF immediately but wait until 30days about to elapse before printing your statement and submitting your application.

If you have any retirement savings , have your PFA issue you a letter regarding access to 25% 4 months following being out of job.

Do all you can to submit your application. There are 2 outcomes, either an approval or a decline.

It's about financial capacity, let's assume your monthly salary is 500k and what you took out of POF is N1m, that's not much of a concern.

When Saskatchewan finally helped my life and gave me an invitation to apply, I don use from my POF, e no reach 3 months again cry

Please anybody know a way to circumvent this? Help please embarassed

Measles isn't one of those cases that can impact your medical issibility.

Below could be conditions for medical inissibility and none of this is the case with measles:

1. Danger to public health
2. Danger to public safety
3. Excessive demand on health or social services

Nwaobia2018:
Hello everyone, please I need your advice on a situation I am in. My family’s medicals is scheduled for Wednesday, 03 May 2023 with IOM. However, my baby just got diagnosed with measles and it’s being treated. He is also scheduled to be vaccinated by the end of May. Is this something I should be worried about as the results of his blood test will most likely reveal this? Can my application be denied because of this?

That could depend on sources of fund. Was it from sales of assets you owned, allowance from your organization etc. In any case, you only stand to loose the application fee which isn't that significant. If you have your pension, include it as well. Na your money notwithstanding the 25% accessibility clause after 4 months of resignation

Provide a letter of explanation regarding all the sources of funds backed by documentary evidence if necessary and submit your application. Only 2 outcomes, either your app is approved or declined.

Besides you have 60 days to submit I guess, I'd advise you may wait until the 57th day before you submit. However, ensure the application is fully completed, last thing to attach will be the LOE. Avoid submitting over the weekend in case their site is having any issues or your payment not successful, you don't want your application to go past 60days deadline for submission.

The decision is yours.

cadno:
Guys please what do you advise me to do.

I just got my ITA too March 23rd/24th
Most of my Funds came in this March 2023 from all sources.

Is it advisable to submit my application for SINP nomination ?

I hear we need minimum of 3months for the Funds to be in my bank before submitting. Is there a waver ??

Will they decline my application ?

This is trumped up story. The diction doesn't suggest anything British for someone who schooled in the UK from such an early age, and the writer isn't a woman.

Familyplug:
A 50-YEAR-OLD NIGERIAN WOMAN SHARES HER REGRETS ABOUT HER PARENTS SENDING HER ABROAD TO SCHOOL AS A TEENAGER.

I came to the UK in the 80s and went to Skinners school for girls in Stamford hill where I failed woefully. I come from a family where going abroad was like going to the market for us.

Some parents in Nigeria, have children in Diaspora and know nothing about their life , only the fact that their child is abroad.

Bros, rest, people migrate for different reasons and most people relocating are educated and have weighed their options. I had a house and was a professional banker before relocating to Canada, I never sold my house to fund relocation.

My personal savings after all monthly expenses is more than my monthly salary back in Naija, so we have my spouse's as additional savings. Few months after arriving, had a surgery in a first class government hospital free of charge that would have cost nothing less than N3m in Naija. Mind you, it's free healthcare. Yes that comes with some delays in specialist services; but better than "your quick" medicare in Naija. No wonder, your Bubu and their likes also get such first class medicare in the Abroad you demean.

I was more of a 3rd class citizen in my country where you can't have access to services without "dropping something" or dropping names, police go harass you die for house again. Park here, on your light! Ethnic bigotry, akin to racism is more rife in Naija, right in your face. Unlike here, welcoming and accommodating. Never experienced any of your touted racism either at work or on the streets as I did whilst in Naija.

No longer stress myself about my daily worries and concerns in Naija. We both work remotely from home and don't have to spend 4-6hrs on our almighty Lagos traffic, waking up at 4-5am and getting back home at 10-11 pm. Water not dey for estate, light nor dey, abeg make we form vigilante to protect our estate o. Those worries are gone

I can see you have traveled to many "whitee" countries and your association may have informed your lived experiences but that's not the case for every other legal migrant. So, don't generalize your experiences as fact. They are poor people everywhere and it's non discriminatory.

Do well to promote our Naija from within, great things that are working for her, and not spend much of your precious time antagonizing other nations or people deciding to relocate. Otherwise, na dat one we dey call inferiority complex.

sukkot:
am not here advising poor people not to travel, am here advising people who own homes ad have good careers in naija not to sell their homes to japa

IRCC has standards / guidelines for their processes including medical extension and not much about "3rd world" countries which in itself is derogatory.

littyprincess:

The possibility of an extension is very rare especially when you live in Nigeria and other third world countries. It’s mostly people in first world countries or clients in Canada that get their medicals extended. Yes you can do another medical even if your previous one hasn’t expired.
NaijaGoingMaple: 2:14am On Mar 09, 2022
That's the status but could be extended at their discretion at a later date. Remed or extension isn't automatic upon medical expiration. There is time lag for that decision to be made.

DFreeze:
If your medicals shows "expired" then it literally means it has expired, lol. If they extended it, you would still see it in the GCMS note. You can either wait till they ask you for re-medicals or you do upfront.

You're right. M.Sc being your highest qualification is ideal, but if you want to also explore PNP route and the province requires the ECA for your bachelors, then it's advisable you do both M.Sc and B.Sc.

darasam4u:
Dear All,
I've tried to read through various pages on this great tread.
However, I'm still confused on either to do ECA on my M.Sc. & B.Sc. or only on M.Sc. being my highest qualification.
This is because, while some people advised to do ECA on highest qualification for Canadian EE, especially for the speed of one over two certificate, others advised doing also for B.Sc. probably because of Provincial Nomination.
Please can someone help clarify if doing on M.Sc. alone can also qualify me for Provincial Nomination etc. or must I do on B.Sc. too?
Also would doing on both increase my score?
Thanks in advance

Your IELTS must be valid up to when you submit your application, ie AOR.

Saynoomore:

I was actually thinking that expiration after ITA does not count as expiration, since ITA has been granted within the validity period (2yrs) of the result.

Yes, your IELTS must be valid to continue to be in the pool, once it expires, your Express Entry profile becomes ineligible. In order to remain in the pool to receive the nomination, retake the IELTS and update your Express Entry profile. If it expires after the nomination and / or ITA, but before you submit your application to IRCC; you have to take the IELTS again, create a new Express Entry profile, and notify your nomination province, so they can resend the nomination to IRCC, and only then will you receive the nomination on the newly created Express Entry profile.

I have a fiancee that's a PR but she was invited by someone and as such cannot invite me yet even when we get married until 5 years. She is coming back this year for us to get married properly.

So I want to ask, after we marry officially, can I add her to my EE profile? If its possible, will her residing in Canada give me extra points or just normal points as a spouse?

Please can someone assist me with the procedure to access the 25% of pension fund

You can email your PFA for the requirements so you can start getting the documents ready. However, they will start processing it after 4 months of unemployment in line with extant pensions act.

He started building the money after getting the EOI. He was refused! Heartbreaking something, children were already excited. Terrible!

It's 3 months before submitting your application, ie 2 months after receiving SINP ITA. So technically, 1 month before receiving SINP ITA is acceptable. It's not related to EOI submission date which even has 12 months validity if no ITA is received.

Hello, please, I would like to ask if a police certificate that you get from Nigeria just before you left Nigeria can be submitted. Like, if you leave Nigeria in July 2019 and your police certificate has a June 2019 date and you have never been back to Nigeria since then, is the police certificate tenable?

For all the countries you have visited/ lived in for more than 6 months at a time, the PCC date must be after you have left the country. So, PCC obtained before leaving the country is invalid and this is one of the reasons applications are rejected.

Congratulations. Please, I will like to know the documents you submitted as a tailor. I have someone in this same NOC as self employed.

Thanks. These were the documents we submitted:

1) Business registration documents
2) Certificate obtained from fashion school
3) Social media page (Instagram) and WhatsApp conversations with clients
4) Reference from the fashion School attesting to duration and list of courses taken and good conduct
5) References from clients
6) Evidence of payment of annual tax
7) Statement of bank . We highlighted few payments from clients, and to suppliers

The burden of proof is on the applicant and circumstances may vary. You can also refer to the IRCC requirements for self-employed for any additional documents.

The golden email visited us yesterday. It's PPR and we're grateful for the faithfulness of our God who's made this possible.

The Journey
It was in March 2018 that we were having frank discussion among friends about governance, business environment, career, family, security and what’s not about our dear nation Nigeria. It was crystal clear to us right there and then that we had to fold up our sleeves and brace up for the change “jappa.”

Apparently, we started off with me being the PA; a Masters degree and required years of experience while spouse has Bachelors and extensive work experience too (self-employed as “obioma” or the more formal fashion designer). The race began in March 2018 with renewal of our international ports. The “No Booklet” days was herculean. My ECA processing was seamless (UK Masters). However, with IELTS, the dancing steps changed to “surugede” at the first attempt as I missed my speaking test (no thanks to unpredictable Lagos traffic). I overcame the hurdle by the 3rd attempt. By the 3rd quarter of 2018; ECA and IELTS were ready for spouse as well and we were both in the pool but below trending ITA threshold then.

On this journey, every opportunity is golden, don’t procrastinate. For instance, if we had taken another IELTS to improve our scores and possibly max out on all; we’d have gotten the surprise ITA of 437 in January 2019. Since getting an ITA directly under the Federal Skill Workers stream was out of our reach given our ages, we started learning French by 3rd quarter of 2018 as that was the only option aside provincial nomination. The latter (Provincial nomination: Self-employed, tailoring NOC) that got us the ITA, and the rest they say is history.

Below, is our timeline:

Oct, 2019: ITA & AOR

Nov 2019: Meds ed & Biometric submitted. File transferred to AVO.

..... Long Silence....

May 2020: Eligibility ed (GCMS notes)

.... Long Silence....

Oct 20, 2020: Meds expired (GU, and meds status changed to, "You don't need medical...."

Oct 29, 2020: ADR Schedule 4 (submitted the same day, with Additional Document status changing to, "Not Applicable."wink

Nov 23, 2020: Meds extended (GU, & meds status changed to, "You ed the medical exam"wink

Nov 24, 2020: ADR Acknowledged (email) - Additional Document status changed to, "We are reviewing the additional documents provided."

Nov 25, 2020: Approved - RFV (CSE Response)

Dec 3, 2020: PPR

VO: AVO voice but with Hong Kong feelings

Why The Abroad?
My first thought of travelling abroad was when I graduated from the university. I’d read about tuition-free postgrad programs in the Scandinavians, and applied to few schools but somehow failed to follow up with documentation requirements and the funding wahala - where “village boy” go get money?

Upon completing my 1-year mandatory national youth service; I got an entry level job in a bank, and the thought of travelling out of the country vanished with the winds. 7 years after, colleagues had started discussing about Canadian Express Entry and few relocated to Canada. But because of the stringent requirements I’d assumed; I didn’t bother to give it a trial. Additional 3 years had ed, and the wind was unrelentingly roosting in my home, and I couldn’t but be ensnared by this bandwagon effect. With total commitment to the cause, there was no going back. In my local parlance, we’d say “we all die here today,” meaning, once you have your hands on the plough, it’s unfitting to falter.

We may be starting over again in a new country, but with a renewed hope for an all-inclusive success. Whilst there may be many unknown unknowns as plans are as good as guess work, we’re fully persuaded that our decision to relocate to Canada is a good one. Where you have a planning and progressive government; it’s likely that individual plans are better guesses, and closer to reality, and for this, we will succeed.

The journey may be long and tiring for some, but the destination is within reach.

>>> Keep the fire burning, and faith unfaltering!
