Hi mama.. it’s just like dandruff. Cradle cap is due to dry scalp. Just apply oil and comb gently. It’ll peel off over time

Cappo, he’ll be fine. Were u told to buy syrup pcm for him? I was told to give him syrup pcm 2.5mls morning, afternoon and evening. My baby rejected it sha. A lot of skin to skin and breastfeeding helped us through it. He was fine by the next day. Today is day 3. The doctors told us to wear loose/big diaper for him so it doesn’t rub against the penis AND I was told not to rub anything on it. Just bathe normally and it will drop within a week. My friend’s baby’s own dropped on day 5

1. U do not need heat for the baby’s navel to heal o. Just keep cleaning with spirit and cotton wool. Heat is dangerous o.
2. U should go back to ur hospital for checkup. The CS site is not well healed and u may need antibiotics asides from cleaning with cotton wool. Pls see ur doctor
3. Mama, relax. I was told I can’t work out (or use waist trainer) till 3 months after. So relax.

1. My baby cord fell off on the 6th day and since den, MIL do use hot water to press it because she can't find Lantern, I suggest cleaning with spirit and applying chroloxyl gel bt she said No saying it needs heat to heal fast. Now that she has left, what can I use to heal it fast pls because I can c it's not yt healed totally
2. My CS area has sumtin like pulse/boil plus swollen and it do burst itself attyms though I clean with spirit every time but not looking dry and healing to me though d swollen part has reduced abit now but still not comfortable wit it, what can I do to hasten the healing process

Fast forward to week 39. I was really really tired already, I told my husband I want to go for elective CS on Saturday if baby no come cos ehn the tiredness was something else. Plus chronic back pain and bad headache, swollen painful feet too . He said I should tell my doctor In the next antenatal. I told doctor and doctor said they don't do elective CS on weekends so I said okay o and face my front, praying for baby to come.

I started having painful swollen legs for days. When I complained to the doctor he dismissed it as normal but my mind wasn't at rest, there was something different about it.

Friday night,baby movement reduced, tiredness etc. I tried everything to make him move that night and oga didn't answer.

My husband called his nurse friend and she said we should go to the hospital that night, but it was late, and hospital is far plus you know how general hospital can be. It might be fruitless going that night.

First thing the next morning (Saturday) we went to the hospital, they wrote scan for me to do to check the baby movement, it was a special kind of scan cos we paid 8k for it.

The result said his movement was 5over 8 which isn't good enough.
After checking the result the doctor was said they will have to induce me abi nah induction and cervical ripening me lol cos he needs to come out, he was 40weeks and a day already.

Omo as I hear induction my mind cut ooo, cos I've read scary stuffs about it. Later on she said she called an older colleague and he adviced CS instead. I won't lie I jumped on the offer immediately and she told us to go bring hospital bag. And so the journey began.

The nurse firstly chuk chuk urine stripe inside my VJ three times, like chuking inside, remove it, chuk again , remove, that alone messed up my system. I started shivering.


Was later whilled to theater and let's just give glory to God.
When I heard his first cry I just knew it was all worth it, the body aches, the cries, the sleepless nights, etc, all worth it.
They left me in front of the theater after the operation for like 4hours or more and I was shivering, shivering and begging for help..

Anyway, please mamas trust your intuitions, whenever it tells u there's a danger please do not dismiss it, I complained to the doctor during antenatal about the leg pain and all and he dismissed everything, even the movement and chronicle headache I was having he dismissed them all , said that was part of third tri package and that I had typhoid and wrote drugs for me .

What if we didn't go that Saturday.

Pregnancy pain??
Diclofenac and ibuprofen are NSAIDs. NSAID is NOT safe in pregnancy especially early trimesters. Doctors prefer tramadol over diclofenac for pain in pregnancy.. that’s how bad the effect of NSAIDs can be on a fetus.

Diclo helps better in pregnancy pain, discomfort n fatigue ,it safer than ibuprofen even in babies it is safer...we learn every day even the professionals u mentioned must keep learning everyday if not the info they got from sch get outdated

My baby didn’t fit into any at all and he prefers sleeping with me at night. He just knows when I drop him in his cot though he uses his baby bed in the sitting room in the day

Omo, night duty is crazyyyyyyy. My darling wakes up around 10pm till 3am, wanting to suck and snuggle while I’m struggling to keep my eyes open. He had jaundice at day 3 of life, we spent a night at nicu for phototherapy but thanks be to God, he’s much better and bilirubin level has dropped.
Btw, baby cot and newborn sized clothes are a TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. thankfully, they were both gifts, so no regrets.

Birth story!!!

I had my first myomectomy at 20. They were 9 fibroids and the biggest was pedunculated, cystic and subserous which made the surgery of importance. My doctors counseled me to start planning pregnancy and all. Lol, I was a virgin prior to my surgery and that made me lose it. Yet, no pregnancy. About 2 years after (I was now single), I started having very heavy periods so I went for a scan which revealed fibroids were back. I cried my eyes out, called my mum and she encouraged me. I decided to bear with the symptoms. My God! Every menstruation was a mad cycle. I had to get thick always pad and I kid you not, I used at least 4 packs of pad every cycle. I always got stained even with that “special” brand. During this period, I met my husband.
I had to see a doctor who is an O&G prof at UITH (she’s such a blessing to me. Her hospital is Gracevid hospital, agbadam, ilorin for those who need it. She is a fertility specialist too). Prof examined me, placed me on some drugs to reduce the rate at which I was bleeding and asked me to do scan and HSG. HSG was a very painful procedure and I weeped while it was done. Result came and said I had multiple fibroids which had distorted my uterus and my right Fallopian tube could not be visualized. My husband (then bf) was worried but encouraged me. I went to prof and she said she would not carry out any surgery on me till I was going to get married. This was because my endometrium was breached in the last surgery and it could have effect on fertility. Prof counseled me not to rush into marriage just cos of what I was going through. I listened but I knew I had my own husband already (which was my bf)
Few months later, my bf proposed and I informed prof. She asked me multiple questions to be sure I was getting married for the right reasons. She planned my surgery and I had 52 fibroids removed. Yes, 52!
I healed well afterwards, she placed me on a dose of leuprolide injection (about 35k per dose) to slow down regrowth. I started trying to get pregnant but no show. I went to prof and she told me to do scan, HSG and sono. Scan and HSG showed I had a fibroid seedling while sono revealed I had twin follicles which were about to ovulate. Those twin eggs ended as menses.
Prof encouraged me and asked if I talk to God. I told her I do and she told me to go and pray like I’ve never done. I prayed and I dreamt.
In the dream, I was on my period holding my special pad to go and change. My pastor’s wife met me on the way and asked why I was holding pad when I should be pregnant. I started crying in the dream and I woke up. I told my husband, called my mum and my pastors. We started praying cos it was a sign I was fighting a battle. My husband stood by me through it all. Few months later, my husband (who doesn’t dream) woke up and told me he dreamt I was fighting a very big snake, it had wrapped me up and I was struggling with it. He picked a cutlass, killed the snake, cut it into pieces and cooked it to eat. That week, my mum also dreamt that someone accosted her for not inviting her to my wedding after which she apologized to her. I knew God had won the war.
2 weeks after, my husband dreamt I did a pt and it was positive. Omo, I did a pt the following week and it was positive. For the first time in my 26yrs of life, I got pregnant! I cried, thanked God and begged Him to perfect everything.
At 20weeks, I started spotting at work and rushed for a scan which revealed threatened miscarriage. I was placed on bed rest and it was discovered I had pregnancy induced hypertension so I was placed on daily vasoprin 75mg to prevent pre eclampsia. It worked perfectly. Prof told me I would deliver via elective CS cos my uterus had too many scars for labour. At 34 weeks, I started contracting and rushed to the hospital. I had a fibroid which was degenerating and that was stimulating contractions. I was itted and placed on drugs. Thankfully, it stopped. I started contracting again a day to my scheduled surgery, so prof wheeled me in for an emergency CS. God blessed me with my own child. He wiped my tears. He gave me a son who looks so much like my husband. God changed my name and now I’m called a mummy. Just take a minute to thank God for me.

Good morning everyone

For about 2 years now I have been having heavy periods with frequent pelvic pain. So I went for scan and it turns out that I have large fibroids and bulky uterus.

my own is sad because instead of adding weight I don thin finish, I can’t go out again i don’t even look like myself anymore .I have been to so many hospitals in this Lagos and the price I'm hearing is in millions. I don google tire and still can’t find a good and affordable hospital I am seeing different types of surgery sef, like minimally invasive myomectomy, fibroid embolization and HIFU.
The doctor I saw last week said My Bono’s very high and my matter don reach emergency and I need surgery ASAP but I don’t trust the hospital because my friend did hers there since December and she has still not fully healed and they butchered her , her scar is terrible.
I have heard of people who did theirs and went home next day, Please I need help on affordable and experienced surgeons or hospitals

Na wa o. Madam, staph is a normal organism on the body. There must be staph on ur body. That’s how God created us. If at all u have a urine infection, this so called doctor would hv given you Fleming or amoxyl and flagyll cos they are the recommended antibiotics in pregnancy.

Good day mama in the house, im 4 months preganant, i did urine culture and it was discoverred i have moderate growth of staph thou no symptoms the doctor said he is sure the test result is not correct but said i should still use antibotics Eryglob 500 ( Erythromycin Stearate tablets) i dont know if i should use it or not base on i dont know the impact of the drugs on the baby.

Thanks be to God, I got discharged and I’m back home with my son still baking in my womb. Decided to go to work today since I was bored to stupor already, only for my MD to tell me that he’s not sure I’ll be re employed after my 3 months maternity leave cos he has employed someone to stand in for me during my absence. It just felt like cold water was poured all over my body. It really spoilt my day. I was actively trying to conceive for 9 months. I’ve had 2 myomectomies, 61 fibroids removed, 2 HSGs and one sono. We were preparing to start artificial reproduction processes when God stepped in. I literally saw hell and now my job is literally gone cos I’m procreating. Thanks be to God for everything. His plans for me are of good and not of evil. My bundle of joy is more than enough for me
