The Nigerian Army has reacted to the viral video of the Soldiers who were seen cursing the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Yusuf Buratai while they were on a mission to fight the terrorist group, Boko Haram.

According to the Nigerian Defence, it was as a result of mental snap or distress which is occasioned by fog of war and it is much expected during war.

"OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE TROOPS ON PATROL ENCOUNTER IMPROVISED EXPLOSIVE DEVICE/TERRORISTS AMBUSH EIGHT KILOMETRES AHEAD OF BUNI-GARI, YOBE STATE The Troops of Combat Team 1, Operation KANTANA JIMLAN on long range patrol along Buni Yadi – Buni Gari axis encountered multiple Improvised Explosive Devices and Boko Haram Terrorists’ ambush, eight kilometres ahead of Buni-Gari in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State on the 18 of May 2020."

"Two soldiers paid the supreme price and three other soldiers sustained injuries as a result of the IED explosion. Additionally, a recovery truck, one troops carrying vehicle and a water tanker that ran into the IED were destroyed by fire.Three terrorists were neutralized while unconfirmed number escaped with various degrees of injury."

"However, due to mental snap/distress occasioned by fog of war, two of the soldiers who escaped the IED and terrorists’ ambush recorded the incident with uncomplimentary remarks, about the Nigerian Army and her leadership, which was released on the social media."

"Although this kind of outburst is expected in war, the soldiers involved have been identified and would undergo observation and counselling."

"The Armed Forces of Nigeria will remain unwavering in its quest to end the terrorism and will do everything possible to ensure there is no repeat of this kind of traumatic incident/outburst."

"The Military High Command commends troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE for their unwavering determination, hard work and resilience."

A man from Malaysia has been sentenced to death in Singapore using Zoom video call platform. This is as a result of the current lock down situation due to the outbreak of the novel virus, COVID-19.

This is the country's first ever and the first in history where such verdict is delivered remotely for the public hearing.

The Court document which was released today, revealed that 37 year old Punithan Genasan received his sentence for his offence on drug deal which happened nine years back (2011).

A spokesman in Singapore's Supreme Court said "For the safety of all involved in the proceedings, the hearing for public prosecutor was conducted by video conferencing"

His lawyer however has requested for an appeal from the court for his client. As human rights activists have criticised the use of zoom for ing the verdict.

While fighting Boko Haram in the North Eastern part of the country, One of the soldiers sent there on the mission did a live video where he was crying alongside others.

He kept on screaming on the camera that "e no go beta for Buratai". Tujur Yusuf Buratai happens to be the current Chief of Army Staff.

From the Video made by the soldier, he shows that he was not happy with the Nigerian Army despite being on a mission.

Recall that the last attack they inflicted in the North Eastern part on the terrorist group, Boko Haram was a success.

Many of the Boko Haram sect were ambushed and about nine of them were killed. Those that escaped had severe bullet wounds.

Recovered items from the mission were, 25 Ammo rounds, 1 Tecno phone, 3 magazines, 1 anti aircraft, 3 RPG Bombs, 5 AK 47 Rifles, 1 gun truck.

The Nigerian Army went on a mission to Gajigana, where they were successful in defeating the terrorist group, Boko Haram.

Some of those attacked flee with severe gunshot wounds. There were some recovered items from their hideout such as five AK47 rifles, one Gun Truck, one anti aircraft, two RPG bombs, three magazines, two of AA Ammo, twenty five rounds Ammo and one Tecno phone.

The moment shared by the Nigerian Army that caught the attention of many Nigerians was the moment when one of the Boko Haram member was ambushed by the Nigerian Army and was run over with the armoured personnel carrier.

A man who tried to rob a lady in her apartment got the shock of his life as she overpowers him and puts him to the ground.

The video shows the lady who came out of her car, just for a man to run into her compound to try to collect her bag from her.
