the story regarding the carton used in making food was "managed"

The Chinese government manages a lot of the information inflow and outflow in china. The person behind the story was apprehended and throughly dealt with.

I guess the robeasts did not dodge because animation was hard to draw back then so they tried to use as few varying scenes as possible (dodging to only get killed eventually was probably too much work for such little storyline effect),
like how spiderman used to always swing through the same alley, the same skyscraper, the same places in every single episode LOL

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Voltron begin before Transformers?
Mu(m): 6:30pm On Jan 19, 2008
Ahh, Man, where do I start,

I was Blue Lion, we even formed a secret written language that could only be decoded by our Voltron Team.

I don't know if we are all really missing Voltron or our childhood. I'm sure kids of today will be raving about their play stations and pokeman in the next 15 years like we are now and similarly criticizing the tastes of the next generation. It's all good.

Loved Voltron, Superted, Atom ant, Danger mouse, Terrahawks, Speed racer, Fraggle Rock, Secret Service, many more

also
Randle and Hopscotch(<--not sure of spelling), Rent-a-ghost, Knight Rider, ok let me not go off main topic

There is no shipping involved. Once you , the rest is online.

@ wyt

I think they are both good. My friend used Stalla and he said it was very good, I have not used both so I can't tell which is better. I suggest you use a variety of sources. I used google very heavily.
My Schweser kit came with recorded video classes , so I was able to watch the lectures on my laptop. I think that would work better than trying to do online prep across our slow internet IMHO.

I took level I on Dec 1st. It was a bit hard but not as much quant as I expected. There was a lot on Bonds, A Lot.
Used the full Schweiser kit for 07 for studying (as well as several finance text books) and a TI Calculator. The other calculator takes a bit longer to use and has a non-logical process to it.

I would recommend continuous and dedicated studying over lectures any day, except if you are a full time student. For guys like me that get home from the island late everyday, classes won't work.

I hope this thread can grow and be isolated for those who want to just study it out, help one another and ask finance questions.

Cheers,

Easimoni - Thanks for the reassurance on Access. I also went in expecting it to hit 26.
The day after it started dipping, I was in the reception are of a broker and I heard a guy instructing his broker to sell Access to buy Dangote Flour, so I figured that people were selling to buy IPO/POs and that was causing the price to drop. I have no doubt in its fundamentals so I will hold on.

Anyone have anything on ASL. I am wondering when would be the best time to enter. They have not done an IPO yet.

I saw this joke a couple of years back and I asked my Asian friend if it was true. he said it was not real, just a joke.
I found it quite amusing and believable though

I was preparing for the Dec 1 examination also, but I am very much behind in my studying and I am considering postponing. I ordered some study materials from America and I have not received it yet, so I have just relied on the internet.

The bears we are seeing now are more of teddy bears (they look mean because of the effects of all these Public offers). The real Grizzly bears will roam around in December.
You can get good shares for cheap in mid January if you can wait.

@ Goldenson

I'm not a guru, but here goes

A) 100,000/33
B) Yes
C) There is a difference, for rights you are guaranteed to get all of your rights should you decide to purchase them.
In the case of an offer, if the offer is oversubscribed, you may not get alloted the full amount of shares you subscribed for on on your share purchase form and your excess money will be returned to you.

Hope this helps.

Same analogy can be applied to Sudan. or Rwanda.

The solution involves deconstructing the riddle itself and questioning all assumptions.

An easy way to think of it is to assume that there is only one man who paid R30 for a room.

Now, if a refund of R5 was due to him, and the bell boy only gave him R3, then he ended up paying R27.
Here's the trick, if the bell boy had given him the full R5, he would have only paid R25. Assume that after paying him the R5, the Bellboy stole R2 back from him, leaving his total cost at R27.

The riddle misdirects your thinking, which is why I talked about deconstructing assumptions. The total sum of moneys should equal R25, not R30.

Another way to spin the riddle is this:

What if the Bell boy had been an upstanding Gentleman (like me grin) and had added R1 to the R5 so that he can divide R6 between the three men equally. After reimbursing the men R2 each, the men would have paid R8 each(for the hotel). If you multiply R8 by 3, you have R24, which leaves the boy with an extra Rand (R25-R24), so that the boy gets to pocket back the extra Rand he contributed. How is this possible?

Yes please Deezzle. How does one get in on GTA.
I am also interested.

@deezle

I heard that the GTA private placement closed last december and that they went for 65k/share with a minimum purchase of 1Million shares. Are you saying that they are doing another round of PP or that people who bought the PP are selling? Please clarify as to what exactly is going on.

cheers

@ V.C.2007
May and Baker Certs came out earlier this year. I recd. mine in March. I had to go to their registrars to get my refund cheque though, and when I got there I found that most people there had 1 of 2 issues, either they did not get their certificates or did not get their refund cheque. Had to make 2 trips, one to request the cheque and the other to pick it up.
Went to
Afribank Registrars Limited

I wonder where that leaves the stocks that currently trade below =N=1. Would they be delisted, forced to do reverse splits, or would they be quoted in decimals?,

Stocks like CHRISTLIB at N0.58, Daily Times etc. I don't think we should write-off these stocks, after all NASCON was 69kobo last year.

Firstly,
Nostalgia is a liar.

Secondly,
Isn't that funny, some of you guys would like to comeback to do those very things which you will later attribute to this place being backward. Why would anyone want to come all the way to Nigeria to Shotput? Can't you find an out-house in America?

But you are always welcome to come and Visit,
Mu(m): 9:33am On Jul 24, 2007
Yes.

I seriously think that the pattern for Access Bank will be similar to that of Oceanic. A great deal of buy pressure will come from our brothers (and sisters) purchasing (penny stocks) with the $. I gather that Access is facilitating payments using VISA debit/credit cards. A few of my peeps in Yankee have already started calling me to ask whether they should buy. That happened for FirstBank and Transcorp. Shows me which companies are advertising abroad.

I reason that the truly secluded spots or romantic getaways must be a bit difficult to reach or a somewhat guarded secret, because I trust that if it were the opposite, it will be overrun with too many people and the problems that follow crowds e.g. hawkers, etc.

I will look into this Badagry. Probably go there first before taking her.

Thanks

Also heard another one that sounded like Macy Grey singing in Yoruba (not from Red Hot and Riot)
something like "Orun ni Ile wa".

Any help on how to get these tracks is much appreciated.
