I'm quiting my job to devote full time into football betting. And i'm launching this company; Football Betting Association Limited (FBA Limited). The company will operate like a hedge fund. But, instead of investing in the stock market, we are investing in the football betting market. I've been studying football betting for quite a while now, and i think there is a bright future for me. I know a lot of people have been burnt from football betting, but not me! ..... This is how the company will operate >> ..... Investment: To invest in the company, you buy shares. A share is N1,000. So, if you are investing N10,000 in the company, you will be given 10 shares. ..... Profit Sharing: All the bet i placed will be posted here on nairaland, so, everything will be transparent. At the end of the week (sunday), i will remove 25% from the total profit as my own commission, and the remaining 75% will be distributed to the investors according to the number of shares they own. ..... Pulling Out: Any investor that is no longer interested in the venture can pull out at the end of the week (sunday). ..... How to Invest: You cannot invest right now. I've been able to convince my boss on nairaland, manymen2, to invest N10,000 in the company. So, lets see how it goes in a week. If the company is really profitable, then i will start accepting other investors. Wish the company goodluck! FBA Limited! |

Worth hisses and changes the channel. From the new channel, we see a female broadcaster - ...FEMALE BROADCASTER: "Today is a memorable day in the history of humanity. ............................ As we were going, Uncle Mike called Tomiwa back and told her to continue kneeling down because she didn't say 'thank you'. I felt sorry for her, so i started begging uncle, "pls sir. Pls sir." He got angry and told me to also kneel down. I begged him the more. But it seemed the more i begged him, the angrier he became, so i knelt down. After about 3 minutes, a boy came in to call the teacher, and they both left. After he had gone, i could see that Tomiwa was crying. "Sorry. Sorry," i begged her. But she didn't stop. So, i moved closer to her and put my arm across her shoulder and started petting her. Then she hugged me. Immediately, a boy walked in, and was stunned when he saw us. So he shouted, "Ah! I will tell. I will tell." .......................... to be continued |

..............Continued............ Fifteen minutes of the break time had already gone. I couldn't find a swing to play with, because my neighbourhood friend, Seyi, forgot to mention they had only 10 swings in the whole of their school. All of it had been occupied by the bigger kids. I was feeling lonely, and there was nobody to talk to so i went back to the classroom. I was startled to see Tomiwa still on her knees. "Haha, you are still kneeling down," i queried. "Yes," she replied me. "Because i did not cry that's why uncle did not tell me to stand up," "Why didn't you cry?" I asked jokingly. At that point Uncle Mike entered into the class. Even though we weren't doing anything wrong, as a kid, talking to a girl in a lonely place, since we were the only ones in the class at that time, seemed like a sin. "Alex, you didn't go outside to play?" Uncle Mike asked. I was immediately relieved that he wasn't angry that i was talking to Tomiwa. "No, sir," i answered. Then he smiled and told me and Tomiwa to go and play. .................To be continued........... |

.............. Continuity ............ 'All stand, greet, goooooood morning sir,' the pupils chorused as Uncle Mike entered into the class, holding me in his arm. "Good morning, you can have your seat," Uncle Mike responded. "This is Alex. He is a new comer, i must not hear anyone fighting with him. Is that clear?" 'Yes, Sir,' the pupils shouted. Uncle Mike pointed to my seat, and i quickly rushed there. I was a very shy boy, and with all the eyes staring at me, i felt like running away. I was to be sitting with a girl named Tomiwa. As i took my seat, she smiled at me, and i smiled back. And she told me her name. I asked her why everybody was staring at me, and as she was about to reply me, a grumpy kid stood up and shouted - "Uncle, Tomiwa is making noise." "Tomiwa come and kneel down here," Uncle Mike ordered. ............................................... Battery low! |

As a 7 year-old kid, i was excited to start my primary 2 education in a new school. Not that my previous school was bad, but my parents wanted me to be closer to home. As we walked through the gates of St. Peter's Nursery and Primary School, i could the joy i felt. My neighbourhood friend had always teased me about how their school, St. Peter's Nursery and Primary School was the best, the numbers of swings they have, and how beautiful their girls were. As a 7 year-old, i didn't really know what it means to like a girl, or even care if a girl was beautiful or not. All that was in my mind was the swings i was going to be playing with, hence my joy. .................... To be continued |

me as we explore my life; The good, The bad, and The ugly. Note: It is not a fiction. And every detail is true and accurate. I will not spice the story to make it more interesting, and i won't cut out the ugly details that some of you will find disgusting. Accept the story as it is, and me, as i am. Critisism is welcomed though. |

Please what's happening on this thread? Why so many divisions? If we can't agree at this stage, how then shall we agree when it comes to raising the capital.

smoothsk: Nice ThreadPlease only comment on this thread if you have a business idea to share. Obviously, there is no law for breaking the rule, but lets just follow it so as to simplify the processes |

This second thread is for everyone that has a business idea, and thinks it's profitable enough for us to venture into it. Rules For This Thread: 1. Please, it's just one post per . And the post should contain a detailed plan of the business. If you have any question or want to voice your opinion, please do it on the first thread. 2. The proposed business shouldn't require more than N2million startup capital. 3. After business plans have been submitted, we will all vote which business we think is the best. 4. Then a third thread will be created, and it's on that thread we will talk about how to raise the capital, and how the business will operate. Link to the fist thread - nairaland.unblockandhide.com/1850452/let-us-create-business-all/ |

Sorry for my prolonged absence. Im glad people are really showing interest. I think we can do this. Some persons have been complaining that N500 is too small. I have to confess, i didn't really expect much interest. But now that people are really interested, i think we should do it right. But i will like to beg you guys, please don't let this die down. A lot of ideas have died down on nairaland, it will be painfull if ours should be the same. I will be proposing some changes: 1. Talking about capital, i think anything more than N2million is an unreasonable amount we can expect to raise. So let's agree that any business we will venture into will not require more than N2million startup capital. 2. In order to simplify the processes, let's break the thread down into three - . The first thread, which is this, will serve as an introduction. . Then on the second thread, everybody with a business plan will lay it down. Just one post per person. And nobody should comment on any business plan. The business plan should contain a complete framework of the business, not just some vague ideas. And the business shouldn't require more than N2million startup capital. After that, we will all vote which of the proposed businesses we should venture into. . On the third thread, we will make detailed plans on how to raise the capital, how the business will be run, and how every investor will be guaranteed a say in the business. Should we proceed to thread 2? |

Thanks everybody for your contribution.

your idea seems intriguing. And this is what i'm thinking...... How about we sell only cars. It will operate like ebay, where if anybody wants to sell or buy a car, they will just put it up on the site, and buyers will bid for it. And we could operate like this: in order to reduce the probability of scams, we should have mortar offices in states we operate in. (Probably lagos state for now, till our capital grows). So if anybody wants to sell a car, they will have to first deliver the car into our hands, and after checking it's status, we would then put it up on our site. Then buyers can bid for it. And after d sales have been sucessfully made, we will deliver the car to the buyer. We could charge 5% as commission. After a year of operation, we could easily become the biggest second-hand car market in nigeria. And there is nothing stopping us from spreading into other african countries. newReal we are still waiting for your own idea 2 Likes |

imas: It is very very lucrative because the charge would be based on percentage and with good promotion and large volume of activities it would work, you may be looking at the next Facebook, it requires the services of lawyers, programmers, it does not necessarily need to be limited to Nigeria, it can serve as a link between Nigeria and the rest of the world, if we perform well and deliver quality service I tell you the sky would be the limiti appreciate your input. But such services will require huge capital. That's why i think we have to start small. A business that won't require more than N100,000 to launch, and everybody will benefit from |
