After researching about the early 90's Nigeria, I have come to a conclusion that Lord Lugard should have never amalgamated the North and South. What he should have done was :
1 - Colonized the North(including the south east states like lagos) in its entirety and given them a solid foundation with their minerals.
2 - Colonized the South (Niger Delta excluding Abia) .

Lord Lugard failed by ing the both regions, we can all see how his pet project turned out to be. Nigeria is a failure and should split.
