hmmmmm,,, As a Muslim who was formally a christian... I have to it... religious terrorism and Muslims are like twins........noticed I used the word Muslims not Islam....you see people have the habit from time in memorial of blaming religion for the world's problem.... its so not true...the real problem is not religion...the real problem is those who think they understand religion, who carry out their selfish desires in its name, and the blind followers who follow this people...I will never get tired of defending Islam, but as for defending "some" Muslims that I am tired of....as for that guy who was quoting hadith and Quranic verses....that were revealed during war times please read the commentaries of those verses......you know the number 1 reason why people in the west are sympathetic towards Islam (for those who don't convert).... its mainly because the slander and lies that have been heaped on the prophet and Islam in general is gradually been erased.....prophet Muhammad (saw) to me is the most slandered person to have ever lived .

well most Nigerians don't care...... so far the pastors are giving things away in charity...... That's why one of the teachings in Islam goes thus....... any form of charity ....in which the source is from I'll gotten means, or forbidden things...... that form of charity won't be accepted by God.

My little understanding from reading is that it is a borrowed culture from other parts of the the world particularly the desert areas where "sand and dust storms" are prevalent as a way of protecting the face and body. I beleive that there are appropriate ways a Muslim lady can dress that can cover the body properly. We should not encourage extremism in the guise of religion.

As a former Christian before reverting to islam... it's an herculean task to make i Christian understand islam. firstly because Christians cannot differentiate between islam and muslims.. infact i will go all out to say the biggest problem of islam is muslims. while growing up it was hard for me to accept islam. one i was looking at muslims to judge islam. on one end of the spectrum where the hypocritical muslims, they drink alcohol, sleep with women, do juju and other fetish stuffs (Yoruba muslims can concur with this one). All this irritated me. on the other end of the spectrum where the "religious muslims" who saw other people as sinners hence they where very harsh. All this made me stay clear from islam, until Allah SWT (with my own little effort, so one doesn't think it's will of Allah alone, you should make an effort ) saved me. with the issue of terrorism i have( on my path to islam. NB islam is not just a faith based or miracle based religion, it requires "ilm" knowledge ) found out that some of us think we are muslims but we are in a state of disbelief "kufr", or better still a state of jahiliyah "ignorance ", we are clearly warned not to kill innocent souls so if you do that you have steered off islam. Now this state of jahiliyah isn't limited to the terrorists, those of us who claim to be muslims but don't pray, are according to the Quran not in islam, those of us who drink Alcohol according to the ulama are not muslims. hence you can see the two ends of Islamic extremism. you claim your muslim but you consult babalawo, ur in a state of kufr you unknowingly left the fold of islam..... why i am writing this is to let you know why some "Christians" can't accept islam. May Allah SWT forgive me for any mistakes i have made in my presentation Ameen. As for Christians you cannot learn islam from someone who is prejudiced, so becareful who you gain your Islamic knowledge from (plus the goal of learning islam is not to convert you, but to make you understand. because there is no compulsion in religion )

as a Muslim i like the Jehovah witnesses. sometimes is not about converting one to one's religion it's about creating an understanding amongst different religions. we are all borne out of the same Abrahamic origins. so i advice muslims who are brought up to hate other religions to desist from it.

if this is true, then i fear the number of "we" Muslims left would be very small.. muslims should understand there's no compulsion in religion. the reason why there are terrorists is solely due to hatred for people of other religions, hatred for the western world and also lack of exposure with massive misinterpretation of the Quran. the middle east has been drenched in war since way back, most of this people are brought to hate one another. most especially when the other has a different view contrary to theirs. May Allah save this ummah, cos we are in trying times. so am not gonna be surprised if many more muslims convert to Christianity
