You are right. But what's the need for this? TheSupernerd has been calm and dropping football updates since then and even left all these talks behind.
I, however want to point out something some choose to keep ignoring or haven't taken note of. I really prefer watching but I am also tempted to speak up when I feel something so obvious isn't being addressed. I don't bow to the temptation everytime but I now to this one.
I have noticed that the Joebie fellow always seem to bring into any recent confrontations with Mr. Nerdy, that situation concerning Nerdy's Mom being insulted and how he (nerdy) decided to react to it to send a message. It's almost like he enjoys people's moms getting insulted coz he keeps bringing it up. He did it sometime ago when Nerdy called him out on his Tammy bias and his giving so much attention to an English international on a Super Eagles thread. I think I also Nerdy claiming he changed his post relating to a reaction to a Tammy post to which Joebie initially denied and later itted. That matter ed.
Now again, the fellow tries to make Nerdy look bad but apparently fails as Nerdy debunks his talks with a full video which I agree justifies his brief summary of what happens as regards Nwakali. What does he do again when the Nerd calls his actions childish and malice-driven? He brings up Nerdy's Mom again.
I am beginning to find that very repulsive and grossly immature. In short I might even say Pussy-like. Sorry. Just saying it as I feel it is.
I just feel I should point this out because I feel some here are just out to distract TheSupernerd lad from doing his thing.

Now, before I return to Ghostmode, let me add this. I used to have a thing for Nwakali but personally now, I'm just watching. He hasn't had a fine career progress generally so I am just basically indifferent to what he does now until I see some consistency. But I see nothing wrong in another trying to drop updates on the lad and focus on the positives of it.
I come here to get the best of Nigerian football news and I view gladly in Ghostmode appreciating what y'all do here and Mr.Nerdy is one moniker in here whose comments I love to read as his ion is never in doubt. TheGoodJoe, his good friend on here is another. His "Dad" Icons is another and a few others like Chris, Tbaba and even Forgiveness.
I think not everyone is bound to agree and I'm sure there are those here who got their favs but let us not distract from the main purpose of the thread so that the rest of us will keep enjoying what brings us here. That's all I wanted to add.

Yes, Nigeria badly needs a private, independent league
scorenigeria.com.ng

The National Association of Nigeria Footballers (NANF) wishes to use this opportunity to salute the courage of Nigeria football stakeholders, investors and interest groups putting finishing touches to run a commercially viable private and independent league in Nigeria within the ambit of the law.

This was after the corruption-infested NFF failed to provide quality leadership in the last six years of the 30 years since the inception of professional football in Nigeria.

It was a cheering news earlier in the week when a group of private club proprietors under the leadership of distinguish senator Ifeanyi Ubah announced their intention to run a private and independent league.

The NANF is also aware that a former NFA chairman, a gentleman, business tycoon and a repository of football knowledge who broke into FIFA leadership in his mid30’s, is putting up a group of top businessmen and eminent Nigerians to run a private and independent league.

So also a core investor in Nigeria football, consultant and promoter, a businessman associated with the development and promotion of the league is putting up a very strong team of foreign and local investors to run a private and independent league.

Very sad that the government-owned clubs and their representatives who are supposed to champion the cause of renaissance of our leagues particularly the premier league ed the League Management Company(LMC) – a group of con men who hijacked the league since 2011 to further ruin the league in the past 10 years.

Corruption-infested NFF failed to provide quality leadership in the last six years of the 30 years of inception of professional football in Nigeria

The club representatives are placated with directorship on the LMC board in rotational basis and placed on a salary of 500,000 Naira monthly each, with these peanuts they sold their birthright of ownership of the league.

They in the manipulation of results to favour their various clubs for who will be champion of the NPFL every season and the champion becomes the highest bidder.

That is the simple reason Nigerian clubs cannot stand the test of time in CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup because the best teams don’t emerge tops as club officials prefer influencing and manipulating match officials than the welfare of their players.

Unfortunately, government-owned clubs have paved way for unscrupulous elements to hijack our leagues due largely to gross incompetence on their own part.

For instance, Enyimba had an exceptional opportunity to lead the way in 2003 and 2004 seasons when they won the CAF Champions League back-to-back as the millions of dollars generated from the prize monies were sufficient to run a viable club independent of government funding.

TP Mazembe of DR Congo never had that kind of start-up capital.

The government club officials deliberately don’t see these clubs as viable ventures, rather they squander and divert revenues generated from the sales of their players to foreign clubs instead of reinvesting those funds in their clubs.

For instance, the current NFF president as chairman of Warri Wolves allegedly diverted revenues generated by the sales of Jude Aneke, Emmanuel Ehiosun, Sunday Mba and other high-profile players to his private pockets.

And sadly the leadership of the Club Owners Association who are supposed to be voice of the clubs have been conscripted into ers club to the LMC, they are just there to clap their hands for the LMC to continue to ruin the NPFL.

The club representatives are placated with directorship on the LMC board in rotational basis and placed on a salary of 500,000 Naira monthly each, with these peanuts they sold their birthright of ownership of the league

The home-based players are at the receiving end of these atrocities, and have even lost confidence in themselves that they are not good enough to play for the Super Eagles as home-based players. This is a huge psychological problem.

Finidi George left Sharks of Port Harcourt and featured for mighty Ajax FC of Amsterdam same week with only one cap as a home based player with the Super Eagles.

Amokachi was from the NPFL
Same with Etim Esin, Daniel Amokachi, Taribo West, Nwankwo Kanu, the list is endless.

This is the level Pinnick and his gang have brought our football to completely obliterate domestic football and rely on children of immigrant Nigerians to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The immediate solution is to resort to privately-run and independent leagues, this indeed was the concept of the founding fathers our professional league – late Nathaniel Idowu, M.K.O Abiola, Femi Olukanmi (all of blessed memory),Pa Arthur Kwame and distinguish senator Patrick Osakwe.

NANF salutes all stakeholders investing their resources and time planning to set up independent leagues and assure all of our maximum .

That's not the issue here and nobody is talking about what NFF has done over the years but likely legal implications of having another league beside NPFL.

I think they are doing everything to make it happen, it should all be in the open by next week ending

Those these clubs have their own standard stadia? Or are they going to be using government owned stadia? Hope the league will be transparent enough to win fans over.

Well going by the write up , to particate in the league clubs must have their own stadia , it remains to be seen if it will be followed to the letter.
Speaking of winning the fans over , as long as they are serious with the TV deal and fair play , the fans will soon notice them

A new professional Football league to rival NPFL is set to debut in the country, Complete Sports has exclusively gathered.

Baring any last minute hitch, the league will be unveiled in Abuja, on Saturday with a press conference to announce the birth of the first privately owned professional football clubs league in the country.

Complete Sports checks reveal that a maximum of 10 clubs will pioneer the league which is said to have tacitly received the backing of the Youth and Sports Development Minister, Sunday Dare.
If and when eventually started, the League has as N20m star prize for the winner.

Findings revealed that a Chief Executive Officer, CEO, (names withheld) has already been slated for the league with a pool of private football heavyweights in the country said to be involved in the venture.
The league has equally been ed with the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, Abuja.
Already, those who have been working from behind the scene since late last year to midwife the venture are understood to have sealed a TV sponsorship deal which will ensure that the matches are beamed live on the tubes to the sitting homes of the football loving World.

“They have also pulled a N400m take off grant”, an insider hinted Orient Sports on condition of anonymity. “When we start, clubs will get their due share of the funds and the league will be a reference point to others,” he added.

It was also learnt that even though all the participating clubs will be d to the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, just as the matches will also be officiated by the NFF accredited referees.

Ironically, winners of the league will have no stake in flying Nigeria’s flag in the CAF inter club competitions. That (Nigerian representation in CAF inter club competitions) is for the winners of the NPFL and the domestic cup.

One of the major requirements for participation in the Private Clubs League, Complete Sports was told, was that all the clubs must own a private stadium.

" style="max-width: 100%; display: block !important;">Queens Park Rangers defender, Nedum Onuoha, has said he would love to play for Nigeria, but its he might not get the opportunity.

The 29-year-old reportedly rejected the chance to feature for the Super Eagles when he was younger, opting to wait for a senior England call.

Onuoha has now denied those rumours and says he is ready whenever he is invited.

“There was a time in the past where I did have the opportunity with Nigeria, it was really on one occasion,” he told getwestlondon.co.uk.

“Since then I’ve had a few false dawns with some people saying they can sort this out and that out, but it has not happened and I’ve enjoyed the club side of football.

“It is not that important to me to be honest. If I was to receive a call-up then that would be great and there would be a decision to make, but I’ve not received one.”

He also confessed that he was ing the Dream Team VI at the 2016 Olympics and says he is happy to be a fan for now.

“I’m happy to be a fan for now,” Onuoha added.

“I kept an eye on the boys at the Olympics where they always seem to do well.

“For anyone like me who was born there you hold the success of your nation close to your heart and like to see them doing well. Unfortunately, the gold medal was not to be.”
