This is a very good question @ op.. I finished 4rm sec sch dis yr shaa but was quite un4tunate I couldn't secure ission dis yr 4 sme reasons... I love this question cos most of my frnds @ home think the only criterion 4 pursuing computer engineering as a course in a tertiary institution is going 4 computer lessons @ home..lol.. It helps shaa but that's not actually the case... You need to mk sure that u have a very strong math background cos u'll be dealing much with discrete math, number theorem, complex numbers, calculus,, etc... You should as well be good in solving physics problems especially those in classical mecahanics n electromagnetism... You can still go 4 a computer lesson anyway but let it not stop u 4rm studying 4 ur Utme, cos u won't possibly get ission to pursue ur career without ing tru d required processes.. I hope this helps.

Wow, this is a pure brain teaser. But what I have to say is this: " since you returned 1k each to both parents (2k totally) after borrowing 4rm them and kept 1k to urself, it simply means that what you borrowed was 99k not 100k.. That is, 100 - 2k which u returned + 1k which u kept = 99k ![]() |

The major problem we Igbos are facing is DISUNITY.. I'm from Umuezeani, a community in Ameke Village which is in Ngwo Town in Enugu state.. It happened that the biggest Brewery in Africa is located in my area but the financial aids given to us, the community, by the Ama Brewery management r just dealt with by a little group of people in the community, neglecting the poor masses.. The Enugu State Government I think have been so reluctant in tackling the case once and for all.... The truth is that We r always greedy, jealous, envious, deceptive n wicked.... It's high time we opened our eyes and learnt to be ONE..

So, so disappointed in some Nigerians. The University of Nigeria, Nsukka just conducted her post ume few days ago and the results are not yet out. So why spread a false news? What would you gain from deceiving your brothers just because of a very little amount of money that would not even meet up with your wants if you got it? Why get God annoyed? Change your ways and re-think. I'm a UNN aspirant and all we, the aspirants, are praying for is a good result and the grace of becoming one of the Lions/Lionessess before the end of this year. We are all praying and hoping that our heart desires be granted and cannot be victims of scam and or fraud. God bless The University Of Nigeria, Nsukka; God bless the good people of Enugu State; and God bless Nigeria!!

What you wear to church really matters a lot. Let me start by saying that if you have a "pure heart", that is, if you've actually repented, you wouldn't dress to church indiscriminately. You don't want to tell me that if you wear clothes that expose your body that it really doesn't matter; my dear, it really does because you might seduce a church member not minding that the person came to church.... Be wise and dress smartly not only to church but everywhere you go.

These names are very, very big names in science, precisely physics; though Newton was an alchemist. Scientists in NL, as we all know, these two scientific 'figures' were really great. Newton was an English physicist, mathematician, alchemist, philosopher, and astronomer. His works in mechanics were very outstanding. He formulated the Newton's Laws of Motion and made great contributions in mathematics, especially in Calculus with his counterpart - Gottfried Liebniz. He also contributed immensely in optics. Amongst his greatest works was his law of gravitation which really gave him the mark of a genius. According to his law, the force of attraction between two objects in the universe is proportional, directly, to the product of the masses of the objects and inversely to the square of their distance apart. Suppose we denote the force by F, the two masses by M and m, and the distance between the masses by r, then; from Newton's law, F = GMm/r^2 where G is a constant know as the gravitational constant. You can read more about that online. So from Newton's view, you are attracted to the earth as a result of that force(gravity), which works like a magnet. This is possible because both you and the earth have different masses. Light, which contains discrete particles know as photons, does not experience this force because those particles of light are massless. Newton also predicted, from calculations, the velocity at which an object may travel in order to break away through the earth's gravitational attraction. The value he got was 11.8km/s or so, I'm not sure. He called it escape velocity and from space travels embarked on then, it was found that the value was actually correct. How was Newton able to make this accurate calculation even without travelling to space? Hmm... Maybe he was a ghost or something. Well, the afore mentioned achivements of Newton are just part of his numerous scientific breakthroughs. Let's now take a look at Einstein, the grey-haired old man. He was a German Physicist and Astronomer. His famous equation, E=mc^2, really revolutionalized the world of physical sciences. From the equation, Al. said that energy and matter are interchangeable. I really do not know what that means as I'm just a high school student still battling with obtaining my O'level certificate. I'm not trying to say that I cannot solve problems pertaining energy-matter problems but I really do not understand what the equation means. Why didn't he use c (the speed of light) without squaring it? There must be a reason and I would like some science geeks on NL to help me with that question. Einstein's theory of relativity (both special and general) is what I've been trying to understand but I couldn't. I just discovered that it can only been studied to a great depth by those who have considerable mathematical trainning. In fact, the theory of relativity is referred to as the theory of the universe. It centered mostly on space and time. I can't speak more on that cos I don't know much about it. Apart from the theory, Einstein contributions in the photoelectric effet won him a nobel prize in physics in the year 1921. When ever we hear the name genius, what comes to our mind is Albert Einstein. So, among these two great heroes, who do you think transformed the world better and what are your claims for that? I would have loved to write more on the biographies of both geeks but I just have limited knowledge about them.

The real truth is this: Those who were involved in examination malpractice actually implicated the innocent ones. I, for example, wrote independently. In my hall, before the question papers were distributed, virtually all the candidates had finished and were ready to hand in their scripts. At first, I became afraid owing to the fact that I was the only candidate still writing. In the face of it, I didn't relent and I probably wrote very well. But what perplexed me was my result. I was expecting a score which was not less than 250 but unfortunately for me, I was awarded 202 and I thank my God for that. Thus, that you failed Jamb does not actually mean you are a failure because examination is not a true test of knowledge (I'm speaking to the seriously minded students). For those of you who depended in runs for their examination, you probably have to bend down and read because nothing good comes so easy; there must be sweat before sweet. I therefore encourage you guys to be strong. Failure is not the opposite of success, it's part of it. Edison's words: "I failed 1000 times and discovered 1000 ways of making the electric bulb". Stand up for the Champion!!!

My dear, it's impossible for one to attain unimaginable heights in life without the followimg factors: #1. Faith - this seems to be the greatest. You need to have faith and believe that all things are possible. #2. Determination - Your determination would definitely take you to your desired destination. You must first of all determine that you will make it in life. #3. Work hard - hard work pays. Keep working hard (studying your books) always. "Though your beginning might be small, your later days shall be greatly multiplied".(an extract from the bible). #4. Develop your strengths and give less concentration to your weakness - you may be suprised at this but I tell you, it's amongst, if not the greatest, of all success tips. Your strength may be in Maths, phy6, chemis3, Govt., or any other subject. Those subjects at which you make the greatest efforts in and brightest results from are your strengths. Those ones you struggle to are your weaknesses. So put much more interest in your strength. I'm not saying you shouldn't be dealing with others but my advice is that you should give much time to your strength. Consider the case of Albert Einstein, the German born American physicist who is considered the rock of modern physics. His strength lay in his power to imagine things. He wasn't good at memorization, using mnemonics and all of that. For that reason, he left out those ones and concentrated on his strength of imagination. With that, he profounded his great theory of relativity which is of great help to modern science. I'm still a student (currently in ss3) preparing for Waec, Neco, and Jamb. I put less interest in subjects that do not arouse my interest- agric, bio, and Geog. and much interest in those which do-phy6, chem, maths, and f.maths. I just hope this helps.

I think it depends on how the circuit was constructed. It would be made to react to some certain conditions like a very high voltage. For current electricity circuits, low voltages and high currents are required. So when the voltage goes up to a very high extent, the circuit would trip off. It's just like an electric jug-whenever the water being boiled reaches its boiling point (100degC), the heater would stop automatically. You can also use continuity testers to check for damaged circuits. That's my own contribution.

It's really a pity that a very rich country like Nigeria is still unable to meet up with the ission requirements of her indigens. Candidates themselves have taken exam malpractice as a culture. The country is corrupt. Only those with valid connections can be itted into higher institutions in Nigeria. Some, but a very few, bright ones still get favoured. All we need is prayer.
